Hi Guys,

I want to at least try and get hold of some of Carlos Zarate's fights. At least the best ones. Could you please recommend some for me to try and get. I've got Fenech, Gomez and Zaragoza on my list, but hardly his best peformances!

If you can find it, his title-winning effort against a really good champion, Rodolfo Martinez, would be worth it. Likewise his 1978 defense against Alberto Davila, who later won a share of the bantam crown. I second the Zamora fight, which was a war

Try his video on his title defense against Danilo Batista. Batista was a tough customer, but Zarate softened him up round by round. It was a thing of beauty. Is he the greatest bantamweight of all-time?

I think the greats Eder Jofre or Panama Al Brown as the greatest bantams ever, but Zarate could be mighty close....A great KO artist in every sense of the word.

I forgot one thing. As the fight progresses, he used to be unstoppable. He was like a train, always coming forward. Like Joe Frazier type or Rocky Marciano type of fighter.
