If no-one gets it by the afternoon can you give us the decade?
Re: Boxing movie trivia
I figure if I have the decade, I might know it. Unless it's < 1960. Then I'm screwed.
Re: Boxing movie trivia
Snatch?
Micky Cantwell.
Scott Welsh.
Ritchy Woodhall.
Hmm dont think its that one then.

'Excuse My Glove' from the mid-30s? That featured a lot of boxing champs, from home and abroad.

Hooray we have a winner.chesh wrote:'Excuse My Glove' from the mid-30s? That featured a lot of boxing champs, from home and abroad.
Excuse my glove, in the starring role HOF Len Harvey, plus in supporting roles Jimmy Wilde, Pancho Villa, Billy Wells, Tommy Farr, Gunner Moir.
and a host of other boxers. Its got to be the most boxers in one film, and i can't see the acting being top quality.

Where's my prize?
Here's another one for you. Which boxing film featured a real-life former world welterweight champion in a small supporting role, playing the ex-boyfriend (who is NOT a boxer) of an alcoholic woman who has shacked up with a washed-up boxer?

Re: Boxing movie trivia
I meant to ask:
1) the name of the film;
2) the name of the former world welterweight champ.
