Can anyone help??

I apologize in advance for starting a new topic for something so trivial, but I didn't know how else to go about it.

I'm doing a translation from German into English about boxing and am wondering what (in English)what phrase is used to describe the thing which sounds towards the end of a round to indicate that there are 10 seconds remaining.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure there is an English term other than "10-second bell", but I would be interested in seeing the German sentence. I'm sure you don't need my help, but if you want me to have a look at the complete translation, I'd be happy to oblige. I've been a professional German-English translator for 25 years, but never had the pleasure of translating or proofreading a boxing text.

The text I'm doing is an extract from dariusz Michalczewski's autobiography and it's part of my MA Interpreting and Translation project.

The phrase reads 'Zehn Sekunden Restzeit sind gerade angeklopft'

and while I'm at it, do you have any suggestions for 'ein ansaztlos geschlagener Uppercut'?

I appreciate your help and may well take you up on the proof-reading offer once I'm done.

It's not a thing that sounds when 10 secs are left, it's one of the cornermen pounding the canvas (which is the in fact what 'Zehn Sekunden...' usw. means)

For the second sentence: 'lead uppercut' sounds nice.
