i need a bit about the early life of gully...when his dads business went tits up and he went to the debtors prison... which prison was it ?

how did Pearce and the fancy hear about gully? presumably he was a prizefighter at this time or just amateur ..?

after mendoza the title stagnated.. not much recorded til pearce ?
