Calzaghe and Hatton have there fans interests at heart!

Calzaghe talks about his fight with Roy Jones in New York in his latest colum in the south wales argus and says that it is a big ask for his fans to go to Vegas as it involves connecting flights and isnt easy place to go to on a budget.

The other day Ricky said he was switching from New York to Vegas to save his fans some money as he discovered it was more expensive for them to travel to New York.

I think its great that our two leading stars are thinking about there fans!!!

Calzaghe's fight makes most sense in Cardiff. There's no way you can compete with 60,000, which I reckon Joe could pull in Cardiff. Since beating Lacy, he has become a bigger and bigger figure in Wales and I think if he can pull 30,000 for Manfredo, he can pull 60k for Jones Jr.

Well one of them has to be wrong? Hatton said 'no' to NY as it was more expensive.

Anyway I don't buy it for Hatton, I think he is more of a pull in Vegas. Mailignaggi will have NY behind him so therefore less routing for Hatton. Hatton sells more tickets, earns more money and has the majority of the crowd behind him in Vegas - simple as that. He love his fans, don't get me wrong but it's him first not the fans.

Calzaghe just want another fight in America, that's all as the U.S still don't really rate him imo.
