First Eamonn Magee pictures

Post by bennie »

First pics of Eamonn Magee in his hospital bed, his knee looking a right mess, will be in this Friday's BN.
Talking of injuries: allegedly's site is reporting that Kevin Lear has broken his little finger a week ahead of his proposed comeback.
A shoulder injury has kept Lear out of the sport for the last 18 months, but he was poised to return to the ring on April 1 at York Hall's Bethnal Green.
Lear, allegedly, picked up the latest injury playing football with his children.
"This is obviously devastating news for Kevin, who seems to be having no luck at the moment," confirmed manager Frank Maloney. "He will be out again for at least six weeks."
Ignore this little finger ruse. Lear's shoulder is clearly still playing up. It's looking increasingly unlikely that Kevin will ever fight again.

Distributor problem according to BN themselves, who are just as pissed off and demanding it never happens again. ABA finals preview in today's issue of course, which takes place tonight. So this is bad news.

Checked out the Magee photos, his leg doesnt look too clever, his face looks pretty much the same mind you that looked battered anyway! ;)

There's no doubt, if they'd dragged Eamonn out of the car, they would have killed him. To fall out with a known IRA enforcer who lives in the same cul-de-sac as you, was not one of Eamonn's cleverest moves. But then, I wouldn't fancy falling out with Eamonn either. At least he can always call himself an undefeated world champion.

from reading the piece in Boxing News and a few other stories here and there, whilst no one can condone attacking another person the way Magee was battered, it doesnt exactly seem Magee was whiter than white either.
