I did like kickett and i think hes pretty good, has speed and power but after the st clair fight it seemed like he wasnt trying in rounds and i truely thought he lost but anyway i think it would be a good fight between zappavigna and kickett..
They both have good speed and good power although i think zappa would hit harder!
What do you think would happen? I think maybe a late KO for zappa
unleash06 wrote:hmmm, not so sure about the late ko, aussie. kickett is a hard man to tag. be a great match up though.could go either way on pts.
thats fair enough.. and what i said about kickett.. id like too see another fight from him too make up my mind about him.. if ya get what im saying lol..
and also i heard he was a way better fighter a few years ago but his hand went through glass or something and almost ended his boxing carreer :(
i think kickett byko or wide decision
zappa is a good fighter to watch ,but his defence is shocking and willie is just to accurate with his punches and has good power, also zappas chin is a bit of a worry
but this is one of the best matchups to be made out there domestically
well we might just find out sooner then later, kickett's camp wanted a fight with Zappa at 60kgs,but zappa's camp would only take the fight at 61.2 kgs.that was 2,3 weeks ago.it would be a good fight kickett on pts just.
I would lean towards Kickett as he has faced stiffer opposition and im not sure of Lenny's chin. It would be an entertaining fight though and i really hope it comes off. Its good to see that Craig Cristain is prepared to put his fighters in tough matchups here in Australia before sending them overseas to fight. If all our fighters got the same experience's, even if they get a loss on there record it would still benifit them in the long term when they face world class guys overseas.

my sentiments also ben, i have played a fair bit of sport at high levels and looked forward to testing myself and competing against the best. if i got beaten, i would go away and learn from it and be buggered if they would beat me next time up. i don't know why so many fighters are so precious about their zeroes in the loss column.

Keep in mind that Leonardo is unbeaten in 14 fights with 11 KOs and was a Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist.
defense would be lacking I think. Only seen Lenny once now, but it seems to be an issue. Kickett is accurate, but I'd like to see if Craig can't get his power up without losing too much speed. Would be a great local fight

shouldn't be a problem at all mate. usually speed and power go hand in hand. think tiger woods.

Kickett has decent power very similar to Mundine. He uses his speed to KO opponents were as Zappa uses his strength. If Kickett had fought lesser opponents like others do his KO percentage would be much higher.
I know Zappa is a good fighter but i cant help but remember him being hurt in a few of his fights and against Kickett he would be in trouble with those accurate counterpunches.
I know that Lenny and his team would be working on his defence..
but even though he has been dropped a fer times i would but it down to over excitment then poor defence.
