Zaurbek Baysangurov v Jamie Moore
I see Baysangurov defended his european title last night on the Klitschko show, did Setanta show that fight, what did people think of him?
I only ask as UK's Jamie Moore is meant to be fighting him in September.
I am very surprised Baysangurov was allowed to defend his title especially when there is a signed contract for the Moore fight. What would have happened if Gurov lost?
I mention all this because Jamie Moore really does deserve his chance of earning some decent money in a big title fight.

Re: Zaurbek Baysangurov v Jamie Moore
What contract ?
What date in September ?
I've seen nothing to confirm this.
Isnt it precisely because the fight isnt sorted, that Moore fought on the Hatton bill, and took the meaningless knock around with Healy ?
Is your source reliable, Fatboy ?

Re: Zaurbek Baysangurov v Jamie Moore
Maloney says he has a contract. He is waiting for the new Sky deal before conforming date/venue.
You've seen nothing to confirm this - you mean it's on on BoxRec's schedule?
Moore has shaken the rust off, has tried out his left hand which is working much better now. He can double up his left hook again now, which used to be one of his most effective combos.

No, and no. After the shoulder op, Moore wanted 2 tune ups, and 8-rounder (though the Herrerea fight got knocked down to a 6-rounder) and a 10-rounder (Healy, offered by Irish TV just at the right time).Isnt it precisely because the fight isnt sorted, that Moore fought on the Hatton bill, and took the meaningless knock around with Healy ?

I never look at Boxrec's schedules Auto.
I have enough contacts to get info on forthcoming fights from the horse's mouth.
So you believe Minnyme Maloney do you ?
Let me make it clear, I desperately want Jamie to get this chance but I dont believe at this moment in time there is any contract in place for this fight.
If I'm wrong, hands up.

Twenty Six,
I have it on very good authority the Moore v Baysangurov fight has a signed contract.
The problem arose because of withdrawls the last one being Moore due to an injury. Baysangurov wanted to fight about now as he had already fought a number of times this year in defences etc however due to Moore not fighting that often they have had it cleared the fight will take place in September.
With regards to your comment concerning the validity of my sources on various things I state, take it as a done deal it has definitely come from the horses mouth, a bloody ugly horse as well.

Well, hopefully it happens. It will be an amazing fight.
Shame on Setanta for not showing Baysangurov v Gontsa.
Why don't they show more bastard undercards?
Obviously they had to hype Haye, and then they had their Sports Network obligation, cue protracted dialogue with Maccaroni, and then Bunce talks and talks...but after all that, there's no time left for anything else.

There is an existing contract which is what Maloney and Wood were working off, unless The EBU have made the original contract null and void then there is no need for a renewal. All it needs is both parties to agree a date and then its down to the EBU to assign the officials and there we go.Terry D wrote:I've been hearing September also. Hope it gets signed.
Manchester or Bolton could be favourites. A venue of 3-5,000 would suffice. Naturally if it is backed with a decent undercard.

Sincerely hope you're right Fat boy / Auto.
The vibes aren't as positive what I'm hearing.
I hope there are no moves afoot for a side step job, leaving Jamie in no mans land.

Re: Zaurbek Baysangurov v Jamie Moore
A VIP Boxing update a few months ago said the EBU acknowledged Maloney had a valid contract.
Bloody hell, I hope Moore doesn't have an "Inkin" done to him.

Why do they have to agree the date, both sides? Don't Baysangurov's ppl have to go with team Moore's date? In other words the date that Sky Sports approve of.fatboy2008 wrote:There is an existing contract which is what Maloney and Wood were working off, unless The EBU have made the original contract null and void then there is no need for a renewal. Re: Zaurbek Baysangurov v Jamie Moore
Would reflect badly on Baysangurov if they tried to get out of the fight. Since pulling out last Dec, he's fought 3 times. If he can do that, he can meet his mandatory challenger. Perhaps K2 don't want the fight, as it's a dangerous one.twenty six wrote:Sincerely hope you're right Fat boy / Auto.

MMMM First it's September, now it's October .....
This makes me even more suspicious.
I hope genuinely that I'm wrong.

The silence is deafening - then Old Bones posts on the other thread.
I am seriously concerned we have a no contest here despite all the vitriolic comments from Steve Wood et al.
If it is right, I am seriously pissed off and very disappointed that the vibes I was picking up now seem to have credence.
I would be delighted to be wrong.

Slightly off topic, but is Ryan fighting soon? At the Brook card he said he was fighting in September when Small was being interviewed. Be nice to catch a Rhodes fight.twenty six wrote:The silence is deafening - then Old Bones posts on the other thread.

That ws the Craig Lynch fight - at half past midnight !
Rhodes had been told to be ready for an early bout.
I've never seen him so angry.
The blue mist descended and he decided to turn the contest into a bar brawl.
You are right - it wasnt pretty.
No amount of instruction from the corner or from anyewhere else for that matter was gonna calm him down - with the inevitable outcome.
Good result, poor performance.
