Questions for Boxingchat..

Post by Emule »

Who has been very quiet recently.

1. Why was this Saturday's bill really cancelled?
2. If you maintain it is because of a "TV" problem is this because SN are trying to get out of their contract so they can sign with SKY?
3. And if 2 is correct is it because of David Haye's promotional deal?
4. If the event is postponed and not cancelled does this mean the promotion (Audley vs Rogan and Enzo Mac) will be rescheduled in Birmingham or will the long suffering fans have to travel to Manchester or Vienna? Remembering of course there is no refund on tickets purchased!
5. And finally. Will FW ever comment on JC's departure?

There more chance of Sports Network turning up with a sky deal than boxingchat showing up here. And why would you think Boxingchat is a woman.????? It has to be one of 3 people from the office off Boxings Godfather.....

There will be no comment because as with the Rick Hatton saga when he left you can bet your life Warren will not take this just yet. Warren will have had his lawyers scan the contracts over and over again to see if there is anything there that keeps Calzaghe at Sportsnetwork for a while longer.

With regards to Rogan/Harrison show being cancelled, why would you suggest a cancellation of contract with Setanta, they are paying very very good money to Warren and it is suggested he will not get better elsewhere.

Why would Warren want to leave Setanta just because Hayemaker have come in under the radar?, Warren will still get the same money as per his contract. The only funny on this one will be if say someone like Khan does have a championship fight or one of his fighters becomes involved in a potentiallly big earning all british clash then there are some promoters out there who negoitiate with the TV channel they will go back to them to seek further funding to ensure they do not get out bid by a rival promoter on another TV channel.

If a show is completely cancelled what on earth are you on about, of course you are entitled to a full refund.

If it is postponed you might not get your money back, just a ticket for the new show, even though it could mean a change of venue, date and bill

You can request for your money back, although the option of a new ticket for a rescheduled show will be offered. You can still demand your money back if this does not suit.

Fatboy,
Wazza's dispute with Calzaghe has nothing to do with the written contract.
If it were, Wazza would win hands down.
Wazza is alleging he had a VERBAL contract with Calzaghe to continue to Promote his fights until he retired.
Over to the Lawyers.

I knew that, but the lawyers are at present scanning everything, including the wording of the previous contract concerning in particular if and when the contract was up for renewal if you see what I mean. Believe it or not sometimes you can get caught out big time like that.
