Neither, It wont happen. If Mundine wont fight Kessler again there's no chance in hell he will fight Pavlik.

Pavlik would KO him if he landed a good punch. Id say Pavlik by KO in 4 or something although Mundine will avoid him so maybe a late KO when Mundine moves less.

it would be a great fight. I think he would trouble Pavlik. He has great speed and not bad pop.

But it won't happen, and if he goes up to LHW for long (remember his next fight is at LHW) he might struggle getting back down to MW (assuming that this is where they would fight)

Oh yeah, he doesn't like fighting overseas either.

Look, a little while ago, I would have said Mundine. But...

- Since Green he has obviously wanted no part of any serious contender, let alone an undisputed champ
- His current run of B and C level fighters would leave him ill prepared
- Weight division issues, although Pavlik is clearly a bigger man than Mundine. Mundine has come in at 165lb for his last few fights, and I still believe he could make 160lb without too much trouble.

If the fight did happen (which it won't) I would still give Choc a fair chance of winning on points or late knockout, but Pavlik by KO, or even on points would be a more likely result.

If Mundine did take the fight he would be in with a chance, Pavlik wouldnt have fought anyone as quick as Mundine and Mundine can hurt his opponents. More likely though Mundine would become gunshy and run to a UD loss.

No use talking about mundine fighting any one that is any good as it wont happen, he is happy to have his little run around with Sam - and yes I know Sam took the option for the rematch. And now a little run around with old mate Green for a few million each, sorry I wont be buying it a second time.
I questioned the ease of greens win and got condemned on this site, when green retred I posted that he would be back for heaps with mundine and its happenng I think these blokes realise that the best fight for each of them is with each other as they would both struggle with the top fighters in their divisions. There I said it.

Mundine should be so lucky to be thought of in this type of fight. He is a gifted athlete and I think he could be a great, but he needs to test himself against the best to see if he can handle the class rise. At the moment the guys he has been fighting are way below par COMPARED to such opposition like Pavlik.
A fight againstJamie Pittman or Sakio (who is a true middleweight) would start the sequence of events that everyone wants to see.

:) Look,

I think Geale is our guy to take on the world.Another 3 fights against top 20 world ranked fighters,I say then he will then take on Pavlik!

Within a year I could see a fight bigger to Aussie public than Zsyzu vs Hatton involving Geale!

He will throw more combo's than anyone around!

If Mundine comes down to MW he wont be Geale! He is scared!!!!!!!!

Now who disagree's????????

I want to but I can't. :P The only thing is perhaps he has a long way to go to get to that level in a year.

Im not a fan of either but I have always thought Choc would have a fairly got shot at this if he boxed smart....I have a concern that Soliman was able to land more shots on Mundine than Choc would have liked. If Pavlik lands the fight may be over quickly. But it is hypothetical because Mundine would never step up to this level, especially fighting in the USA.
As far as Green v Mundine 2 goes I will definitely buy it if it happens. Still no decision yet though.
Geale is an awesome prospect, hopefully he can be managed effectively, get some "name" opponents and a profile in the USA. He could do some big things but I don't know if it will be in 12 months.
