30th July on Mundine undercard - opponent will be announced soon.

No wound licking or navel gazing by Pittman - he is fired up and ready to return in a big way!!!!!

Most experts reckon you learn more off a lose than a win so time will tell.

Isn't it up to the matchmaker to list any fights on his card? If Mundine's people had a regional champion on their program would it not be reasonable to expect them to advertise the fact?

Last I heard from Pittman's camp (about two weeks ago) was that "Mr Business will be back bigger and better than ever in the near future - he is back in full training and the fire in his belly to succeed has only intensified".

The closer the date gets, the more likely he will be in the ring with a bum.

Jamie has two fights locked in - the first one is a 'warm-up' fight on the Mundine v Kim undercard against Kiwi Fale Saolo and then in September against Les Sherrington.

Pittman vs Sherrington will be a barnburner. Pittman should be more comfortable at the higher weight and I slightly favour him to counter punch his way to victory.

Thanks for the post Toppity, Felix was unavailable for Newcastle - you obviously are well versed in how to get a fighter to the top - Newcastle fight is all about geting back on the horse and gaining some confidence after such a devastating loss.

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST???????????????????????????

I suppose Sherrington is a bum also?

No problems king, however you have misinterpreted my post. The 'Bingo' was an agreeance that the quality of the oppostion is inversely proportional to the length that TBA is the listed opponent. A generalisation if you will.

With regards to Les, he is a worthy high level local fighter, and it should be a good contest, no problems there. At present Les has other fights listed for that time though?

Although I don't manage fighters careers, i do understand the the simpler parts of the process.

Sherrington is a decent opponent but very safe for Pittman. Sam Soliman , Sakio Bika, Shannon Taylor,Daniel Geale, there all around his weight and could be a good matchup . Not trying to be a prick but its not teaching him if he has already stopped Sherrington, I just hope you guys give him a stiff test before sending him overseas again as the guy has real talent and showed it in the early going against Sturm.

Yes he is. Mate i cant believe your having a go at a guy for stating what is absolutely obvious, he's a bum, bum, bum, bum.

With all the fighters his been in the ring with in his 24 fights the win /loss ratio is; Wins 120, Losses 97, Draws 8.

Mate I'm no Teddy Atlas but this guy isn't even a Gatekeeper.

It is what it is, another win for Pittman and a step closer for everyone to realise Pittman needs stronger opposition.

Suggestion; Shannan Taylor, Paul Smith,Junior Talipeau,Robert Medley,Ben Crampton.
