Nicky Piper said that McDermott looks very deceiving and is apparently a good sprinter.

I cant comment on McDermott's athletic prowess, but I remember reading of Corrie Sanders (the South African), whilst he was still on the rise as a youngish contender, that he was a sub-11 second sprinter.

Thats an impressive time for the 100m no matter what your training backgound is.

Yup your right, he needs a BIG win to get him back on track.

Belshaws last fight seemed to be be heading for a dissapointing points win for him until the coach had a word and we got another amazing Belshaw KO. When he gets those shots off theres no getting back up, no one that he has put down so far has managed to return to their feet and to be honest most of them have required oxygen to get them to sit up again.

Fingers crossed he gets the KO he needs.

Piper's rhetoric rarely contain any substance, suprised he had time to fit that in around talking about himself.
It must at least led on to him talking about himself!

Im finding the thought of McDermott running the 100m almost as hilarious as Herbie Hide invading a boys cricket match at the drunken invitation of Rhino

Maybe the 2 could be combined somehow as part of some sort of "Game for a Laugh" return

What would make it doubly good would be if we could get the reanimated corpse of Jeremy Beadle to present

I say "we" but im struggling to find anyone else to back me on this project, if i'm being honest

Hopefully now that the 0 is away Belshaw can regain some focus again. fingers crossed he comes back from the lose a better fighter. He did show a little improvment in his last fight there with a 4th rnd KO but still has a lot of work to do.

I know that betting on Danny is not advisable (although I backed him against Tyson :D ), because he's as consistant as an epileptic pigeon, but I've backed him to win in the first half of the fight.

From Ladbrokes

Danny Williams 1/7
John McDermott 4/1
Draw 25/1

Danny Williams - KO or TKO 4/11
Danny Williams - Points 5/1
John McDermott - KO or TKO 9/1
John McDermott - Points 8/1

DW Rounds 1-3 3/1
DW Rounds 4-6 3/1
DW Rounds 7-9 5/1
DW Rounds 10-12 9/1
JM 1-3 28/1
JM 4-6 18/1
JM 7-9 22/1
JM 10-12 28/1

I think it's a good bet, but I don't bet (except points on Boxpicks).

I simply can't see anything but a Williams win - most likely by KO..

I seriouly doubt John can handle fighters of Williams level, I know he's well liked but he's simply not in that class... Granted, Williams isn't what he used to be - nonetheless, a Williams win.

williams was shaken by airich and platov but both thoese guys were throwing hell for leather

mcdermot dsnt have that kind of speed or firepower

hes also very dim generally and his points loss to the counter punching hit and hold tactics of Mark Krence prove this

hes also not very strong in the bones as the loss to skelton and also popov proved.

Williams weighed in at 265, so not a bad weight for him, he's been around that for alot of his bigger fights.
Williams should be to much for Big John tonight, but you never quite know whats going to happen with Danny
