Anyone who picks Morrison in this knows jack about both of these fighters, I have to say it.
Quarry had an AMAZING chin, no way Tommy takes him out early. And we all know, or should know, Morrison's defense and stamina sucked big time.
Add in Tommy's weak chin, and the only way Morrison could ever was would be some hail mary picture perfect punch.
Joe Hipp people . . . . Morrison's rep as a fighter has really gotten overblown with the passing of time.
The Hipp fight was an abberation.A Fluke.Or Fluke of Nature.
Hipp had Freakishly Good luck in that bout while it lasted.Morrison broke a hand early and then the other hand a few rounds later but still pulled off the devastatingly brutal KO.
What was So terrible about Joe Hipp anyway?
I thought he was quite capable at given times.
Kind of a 90's version of Henry Cooper.Hot and Cold as Burt Sugar would say.
I would classify Hipp as a Capable C+ Grade "Spoiler potential Boxer" with an awkward style.
He went until the 9th round or so with Bruce Seldon if i stand correct.
Seldon was a B- grade Boxer and basically,so was Morrison usually.Except,Morrison also had one punch KO Power.
Morrison's best overall performance was undoubtably against Foreman though. He showed a different side/style and version of himself that was capable of doing(outboxing a big scary banger),but sadly, not utilized nearly enough due to a bad case of overzelousness/overeagerness for the KO.
The guy just seriously lacked patience unless he was scared of someone,...Such as Mr.Foreman.
