Dominick Guinn is 5/2 to beat Monte Barrett inside schedule on Saturday night. Fighting at 'home', against a fighter wobbled badly by Mesi (who a hardly a jackpot puncher), I reckon that price is a liitle big. Especially considering he is 1/5 to win outright in places and has stopped 17 of 24 so far. I'm on.

Yeah, nice tip. Guinn has the look of a future champion.

Yes I've been watching the Guinn odds too. He's 1/3 to win over at bluesquare - not too generous, but you'd strongly fancy him to win here wouldn't you.
He looks very solid so far and should deal with Barrett - but I guess with heavyweights you can never be too sure...

5/2 for Guinn KO is great value. However i aint as high on Guinn as others are. I dont see him as the future, a top 10 guy is more realistic.

Goods - that is a great tip - 5/2 is far too long.

You sometimes wonder who sets the odds for some of these fights as you get some absoute steals (Olajide was evens to win by KO in his last fight, easist hundred I have ever made) and even in big fights there can be great value (Winky 4-1 on points being another good example).

Trouble is Guinn, like a lot of heavies, can be a bit lazy in there - so Barrett might make it to the final bell.
Worth a bet though.

where are these odds avaliable?

looking on here http://telegraph.bestbetting.com/Defaul ... oup=113035 , they only take bets for who wins, or how many rounds the fight goes regardless of the winner. Did you work it our by multiplying the fractions if Guinn wins and if it lasts less than 9.5 rounds?

Agree with MW - Guinn doesnt usually go looking for the KO so more of his fights reach the limit than otherwise might. Probably worth a bet, but don't put your house on it.

Talking long odds I recall at the time Vitali Klitschko was 25-1 to KO Hide in any one of the first 3 rounds. I ended up backing the wrong horse at shorter odds thinking Klitschko was going to fold the first time he got hit and the rest is history....

Loynesy, Olajide was actually 2/1 to beat Marks inside schedule for a time with bet365 (who to my knowledge are the only firm who regularly price such 'outcome' bets up) and yes, it was easy money.
Similarly, Guinn 'WAS' 5/2 with bet365 to stop Barrett yesterday night but that price is now as short as 6/4.
I agree totally that Guinn sometimes takes his time a bit too much in there, but the whole idea of HBO putting this fight on is for Guinn to make a statement and get Barret out of there more spectacularly than Mesi did.
For that reason, and given his KO ratio (17 in 24 is 71%), the 5/2 does seem a little toppy to me.

True about Houston, but I really doubt he went for Barrett in this instance.
Glad I didn't bother with a bet too!!
Heavyweights are generaly just too unpredictable.
