Danny Williams fights Roland Rat this Thursday

Post by bennie »

This Thursday's 'Fight Skool' card at York Hall sees Danny Williams return to action for the first time since losing to Michael Sprott in January when he takes on former Audley Harrison points victim Ratko Draskovic.
Draskovic was hammered by Matt Skelton when he last fought here.

The way Williams' career is going I don't think he'll knock Draskovic out and will have to settle for a points win.

Depends what mood Danny's in really. Wouldn't surprise me if he came out and hammered him in the first round or laboured to a points win. However, one thing Danny is is heavy handed and this guy's not the most elusive fella so I go for a comfortable three-four round stoppage for DW.

i believe if you look up 'disappointment' in the dictionary theres a great shot of danny williams.

sums danny up really. still chasing audley and his ex-victims instead of trying to get somewhere in world boxing.

what a chump.

Draskovic will beat Williams...Ratko is the future of the Heavyweight division.

Could be an interesting match up to guage how Dannys standing looks. audley won against him on points after 8 rounds and skelton stopped him after 3. i was at the skelton fight and skelton fought very very well.

mind you it all depends on Dannys "metnal conditioning"

i wonder if the post fight interview will feature the words: 'i wasnt that impressive, it was because of ring rust'

that line is one of dannys favorites after every single fight of the past 5 years.

To be fair, Sports Network DID state Danny would get a WBO shot provided he stayed undefeated - so we can't prove it one way or another.

If Golota can get a shot, then I don't necessarily believe it was a BS story.
