Remind us - who was the last man to beat PBF ? was it Sanchez?DG. wrote:Umm NO he beat every featherweight belt holder, 10 champions, 2 super bantamweight champions, a 3weight champion, the 2 best americans and the last man to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr before stepping in with barreraPhenomenal-Nutrition wrote:
Errrm... no. He beat the rest eh faced, but not the "rest" as in everyone else who was decent, not even everyone else who was half decent.
Hamed should have faced Juan Manuel Marquez - Freddie Norwood also!
JMM management turned a Hamed offer down before Hamed fought Barrera. JMM might have been a WBO mandatory but who had he beat of any significance? There just wasnt anyone on his record and then he cocked it all up by losing to the less than impressive Norwood. JMM went on to make his name off Pacquaio but outside of those fights his career isnt particularly impressive
Yep Sanchez beat Mayweather in the Ams, I did imbelish that 1 a bit
Oh and Hamed beat Soto who beat none other than future Mayweather semi-conqueror Castillo
Oh and Hamed stopped Angelo in 2 who went to go 12 with Morales, he stopped others faster than Morales too

I am a Hamed Fan, but you must admit JMM did more than some of the challengers to NAZ.
Naz was amazing, but the clip is still funny!
Remember,JMM beat Barerra

Totally agree. Yes, he was a bit of a cock, but he was a winner...he brought many new fans to the sport, he was dynamite.observer1 wrote:exittored wrote:Watching this clip make's you realise what a truely unique and exciting fighter Hamed was and why so many miss him.
Before he gets slagged him off too much here, remember at least he got people into watching boxing especially John Shep the guy who started BOXRECand having a young family and £30 mil in bank,he simply lost his desire to train properly by the time the Barrera fight came
Exactly. Typical "British" Fans slagging him off, (most of them have one reason, and we all know what that reason is).
End of the day guys like Naz made Boxing in Britain, yet so called "Boxing Fans" slag him off. Idiots.
Along with Lennox he's the best boxer Britain has produced IMO.

Exactly, His antics were to sell tickets. They worked. Shame some idiots can't see the bigger picture.Captain Hook wrote:Totally agree. There are those who don't count LL and NH though, because they're not 100% British....
I think that's bollocks. They're British, were proud to fight for Britain and there is little argument - they are the best we've produced. Who is better? Naz was a superstar.....not always likeable, massive ego etc, but he delivered. Only fight where he didn't was Barrera, an all-time great.

Calm down.
We know Hamed is one of the best ever British fighters, but the clip is still funny.

Re: The best of Naseem Hammered!
Marquez is getting heavily overrated for having Pacquaios number (which he only sort of has). Against the top opposition hes been down 5 times in 3 fights and isnt the amazing counter puncher hes made out to be, hes very good technically but somewhat predictable and not that fast. Barrera was way past prime and still arguably beat him. If Hamed puts Marquez down he stays down, I'm sure Marquez would outbox Hamed for periods but I see him getting ko'd at some stage.hitman_hatton1 wrote:imagine what marquez would have done with his counters.

I agree, you have posted 1500 posts a year, I have posted less and better quality.

Well, Hamed was great for boxing and entertaining. But many feel he lacks warmth towards the common man - the way he acted after ruining that driver's life and leading to it is disgusting. He hasn't shown enough remorse and that makes the public dislike him more trhan anything he dod in boxing.....
Re: The best of Naseem Hammered!
Agreed. I'd be happy if we had any boxer as charismatic and talented as Hamed. Great fighter.
Re: The best of Naseem Hammered!
I'm sure he won't lose any sleep over whether or not the English public like him.E wrote:Well, Hamed was great for boxing and entertaining.
