NO HOLDING ALLOWED!!!
It works in K1 and I think they need to introduce this on Boxing as much as possible.
Maybe they can allow 3 clinches per round and after that - take POINTS off.
Any other suggestions?

But holding is part of the sport - in the olden days 'prizefighting' was a mixture of boxing and wrestlingDG. wrote:Hello Carlos Wignorant!Carlos-Wigan wrote:How do you propose enacting this suggestion as law?

I say if a fighter is hurt then he can hold, but NOT for the sake of it! The ref has to sort it out and deduct points for unnecessary holding. PBF does not hold, maybe they need to show the foighters how to slip and counter more.
As for the person who said I should watch something else - After Wlads last two fights I wish I did!
Heavyweight Boxing is mostly holding these days.

mrbassie wrote:Certainly Ruiz style clinching needs to be punished, most of his career has been jab-clinch, jab-clinch, right lead-clinch......That's not holding because he's hurt it's holding for the sake of it. If one arm is free you're allowed to punch-there's your inside fighting, refs need only call a break if there's holding of the head or when both arms are pinned. There is a middle ground but these days they let them clinch ad nauseum and don't differentiate between what's legal and what's not.
Nicole Loche, the man Mayweather stole his style from, watch Loches defensive manouvers and you can see hes got all of the tricks of Floyd Jr pretty muchsweetscience wrote: who is who in that clip, i dont have time to watch it all but the guyin the Blue has a crackin left hand
