If it's cash, and he's just playing silly bvggers, that's rubbish. Treating the fans like cr@p.

Too many excuses. I was always told that when people genuinely couldn't do something, there was always one reason, and when people were lying then they pulled multiple reasons out of their @rses.

Witter's not going to happen, IMO. Confident as Hatton may be, Witter's the kind of guy you have to train for specifically.

I think this is the case for a lot of class fighters. Although it maybe more appeasing to supporters to pitch Hatton against a big name at this late stage it would be somewhat risky from both fighters point of view.

What a shambles. 'The Menace' is no more than average as a lightweight. This will really hurt Hatton's (and Warren's) rep across the pond and I feel gutted for the Hitman and Billy Graham. From the moment Pinto was announced I knew he would never come face to face with Ricky in England and as a result I have not commented on the 'fight' once previously. It's just not right. I feel sorry for the 'mugs' who continue to spend their hard earned watching Hatton fight after fight. I REALLY thought they would let him off the leash after what he did to Tackie but this is a massive step back. Aldo (Where's Waldo) Rios all over again for me. Disgusting. Still, Mickey Vann has not cried off yet so it looks as though it's business as ususal at the MEN. Keeping filling the MEN chaps and keep Hatton (who freely admits he will have a shortish shelf life) at this level. Just don't start crying when
1 - he suffers a cut against one of these replacements
2 - Miguel Cotto moves head and shoulders away from Ricky through being brought along 'properly' - in almost half the time.

Too true.
Apparently, it was obvious last week Pinto was starting to bottle it, so why did the normally ultra-professional Warren wait till yesterday to find a sub!

Precisely I refer to my earlier post above.
never mind whats done is done worse things happen in the world its just a bit of a dissapointment. Agree though this is bullshit handling.
totally unprofessional.

I do think it was a bit a wanky thing to do though especially as Ian had written an article on Pedersen and put it in as breaking news.
I apologise to Ian for doubting his word. schoolboy error.

Agree with MightyWarrior, TheGoods and bennie on this current drama. Personally I would cancel my tickets if I had shelled out for this one (like I did when Estrada replaced Abelyan in the Harrison fight), as Hatton - Pedersen doesn't spark my interest. Saying that, I hope it doesn't play out the way I've envisaged it and you get a good show J.

allegedly IS A fornicating BUM!!!!!

Did Pinto even know he was fighting Hatton? Warren pay's boxer's so badly, I'm not surprised Pinto has bailed out.

WARREN IS A TIGHT FISTED CROOK WHO HAS BEEN CHEATING HARD WORKING BOXER'S OUT OF THEIR RIGHTFUL PURSE'S!!!!

This must be the 3rd time that a opponent has quit before hand or nearly quit on the night ( see Vince Philips)

Ricky Hatton should Leave allegedly IMMEDIATELY and join the BBC. He could insist that the BBC show his fights Live at peak time i.e 10pm on a saturday night and withing 6 months Hatton would be a fornicating SUPERSTAR in this country!

As for this Dennis Pedersen, the guy's a fornicating JOKE! he's a powder puff hitting Lightweight who's only ever beaten average JOURNEYMEN!!!

If Hatton dosen't knock out this bum Pedersen inside 3 rounds, I'll be shocked and view Hatton a lot less than I do know ( which isn't very much)

HATTON WINS TKO2 DENNIS PEDERSEN

If it is Pedersen then that is an absolute joke, how can they seriously pitch this guy as a legitimate opponent? It's Aldo Rios, Joe Hutchinson, Stephen Smith all over again...Hatton will struggle to make the impact on the world scene he is capable of he is fed many more of these lacklustre opponents  And how can they say this Pedersen guy is world class? Excuse my ignorance but i've never heard of him!! And forget the money issue i'm with the "Pinto bottled it" group on this one.

I disagree that PINTO BOTTLED IT!

Why would the 6FT Pinto( who's more like a Middleweight come fightnight) bottle it from a HATTON who's about 5ft 6inches and is merely a blown up lightweight!

THIS IS ALL ABOUT MONEY OR LACK OF IT!

noooooo

I'm not Blaming Hatton at all, the guy's a Warrior for sure!

I'm blaming allegedly!

If he can't make the BIG FIGHTS for Hatton than Hatton should leave Warren and join the BBC.

Hatton belongs with HAYE and AUDLEY HARRISON

Just think of a boxing card with the 3 H's

HAYE, HARRISON and HATTON all fighting on the same night LIVE ON THE BBC

He lost to someone, don't remember who. I was mainly joking because he holds the WBF "world" title (or he did, dunno if he was stripped for losing a non-title bout or not).

I don't think its that.
I think the British guys need to start coming to America once they start to get ranked in the top 15. It makes it a lot easier for guys in other countries to want to come fight. Plus they get paid more money and its not a pro-British anti-foreigner crowd which is the case for most fights in Britian.
