Well, a win over Khoren Gevor (WBO #7) would help his ranking with the WBO (which is the organisation he's most highly ranked with). Geale is ranked #8 with the WBO.

Would that be too much of a step up for now?

I think anyone of those guys above him in the WBO would be good, He has the talent and if he could beat 1 or 2 of them he would be ready to have a crack at the Title.

I also wonder if he would be better served at 154, He fought at 154 until last year and im sure he could make the weight. I would rate him a big chance of beating Phillips or Mora at the moment.

I agree with that, isn't the only reason he fights at 160 the IBO strap?

Dont know if thats the reason or not, I looked through the rankings at 154 and Geale and Dawson have a serious chance of winning any of the belts at 154. Santos, Phillips and Mora would have to be the better choice than waiting around for Pavlik.

Absolutely, I really can't see anyone at 154 that they would go in as heavy underdogs. They could truly be competitive with anyone in the division I reckon...

Yori Boy is now 36 years old and has recently lost fights in Ireland and Finland to men further down the food chain than Geale.

What would this prove?

Well its just that i dont see Crampton, Taylor or Pittman putting there hand up for a fight. Flying a high-profile veterian import seems more logical. (Maybe not Yori Boy but someone of similar stats)

He would still be a step up in competition and get Daniel some world wide exposure.

How is fighting somebody who is fighting tomato cans in Central America and small time programs in the States, as well as being rated 50 by "Boxrec": and getting beaten in Europe a step up? Enrique Ornelas, who lost a majority decision to Sam Soliman a few years ago, has moved up to a no. 8 rating. He would be a more serious opponent.

A win over Yory Boy Campos would give false comfort. He is on the way out. Then there is Dmitry Pirog of Russia who won a 10 rounder against Geard Ajetovic recently. He is 12-0 with 10 KOs and holds a couple of regional titles.

Yory Boy is still a far bigger name than either of the other 2. Whether or not he is an easier option.

Yory Boy Campos was a big name in the nineties. Now he is just another middleweight. Let's not go getting back into the mindset that all North American boxers are great.

Hell, they don't even rule the heavyweights anymore.

Geale vs Pittman is the best Australian fight or if Geale can do 154,how about the EBU Champ Batsangurov?

The Chechan would walk up to him all night making a great fight of it.

How about 19-1 James McGirt as an opponent for Geale? He just a win over Joval and could be a good match up for him...
