Rating of the best of each weight class

Post by bobby brown »

Would like to get an opinion from the fans from the other end of the Atlantic Ocean.

Regardless of what everyone thinks of organizations, associations, federations and sanctioning bodies of any type,
what matters is who is the best.

Viewing the April 1st names of proclaimed number 1's on the GBO site I find them to be pretty fair.

Yes the Gbo is a new and little group. And not Ring Magazine as they might compare themselves to.

But taking it a face value this list of the best in each division is IMO fairly accurate.

What do others think?

Lets not waste time on evaluating the sound of the name or the groups goals or what they are about, in any way.

Just the number ones of each weght division. What doooo others think

I say this is a fair list, what say yee ?

1. How can Morel by the best at Jr. Bantam? He just lost his flyweight title and has only ONE win at jr. bantam.

2. How can you rank Guzman over Larios or even Angel Vasquez?

3. O'Neil Bell is the tops over any of the major title holders?

4. How is Miguel Cotto the top 140 lb. guy? His best wins (except Maussa) are against lightweights and super featherweights. How does he rank ahead of Tszyu, Mitchell, Hatton, or any other top guy at 140?

RING MAGAZINE

Post by bobby brown »

I don't think they have a ring magazine website either, they just want you to buy a magazine that has 3 month old results. They should change to a website. Maybe they have and it's called GBO .

There is always going to be arguable questions on any rating by any one.

But the records of all of these fighters are pretty good.

IMO they are as good as the next with the exception of maybe two or three weight classes which is better than most rankings.

With most rankings there is at leaste four or more champs that should not be in the top 8 - 10
