Toney lays down the gauntlet to Haye

Haye vs Rahman/Toney/ or Maskaev would be perfectly acceptable then as someone suggested a fight vs Arreola the US prospect would be ok.

As a last warm up for Wlad I would go for Jameel McCline/Henry Akinwande or Valuev just for the size aspect.

I just can't see Toney hapening. Toney won't travel to the UK and this is where Haye is supposed to be fighting next at the 02.

LOL, but Toney's TALENT or CHIN have never been in question. He lost to Drake Thadzi because he underestimated him. Toney is far more talented than Haye. That much I DO know.

And Haye lost to Thompson largely because he underestimated HIM!

Besides, Thompson was a better fighter than Thadzi, and Haye a novice at the time.

Rather than ripping on Haye for losing to Thompson, consider how many prospects take on a legitimately top 10-ranked boxer in their 11th contest? Especially in the higher weights.

You have clearly got a major issue with Haye, but rather than let your personal opinion cloud your undoubted boxing knowledge, you should stick to the facts and ignore the trash talk, which is great for generating interest and potentially selling tickets, but has no bearing on the fight itself.
Answer me this - if Toney lost to Thadzi because he underestimated him, why can you not see that the same applies to Haye and his loss to Thompson ?
Both have come back from these setbacks.

Yeah, you can look at just about any result through a positive/negative lens e.g Haye-Thompson: Haye lost to a top 10-ranked guy in only his 11th fight, OR Haye lost to a brave but limited 40-something fighter.

Generally, with most boxers and most results, I tend to lean on the positive side, and don't like to see people go out of their way to be negative. As we both pointed out, criticising Haye for losing to Thompson while at the same time brushing off Toney's loss to Thadzi smacks of this.

Fair enough. Let me clear this up though, I love David Haye. It might appear contrary sometimes, but that's because I love the sport more!
