Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
TASMANIA'S world IBO middleweight boxing champion Daniel Geale is in negotiations to fight Anthony Mundine in January
Geale's manager Bill Treacy revealed Mundine's camp had approached him twice in the past month to set up the fight.
"It will be the fight Australian boxing fans want to watch," Treacy said yesterday.
"Mundine is prepared to come down from a super middleweight to fight Daniel, but Daniel is a classy boxer and he will be too good for Mundine.
"He's been boxing since the age of nine and had 160 amateur fights. He will have too many ring smarts for Mundine."
Geale was also confident about his chances.
"I think I've got a more ability than he probably realises," he said. "They probably think they're getting me at a good time, early on in my career, but I am 100 per cent ready.
"I'll be keen to put him to the test.
"I'm someone who's going to be as quick as him and can move on my feet, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
"I've been working on a few different things in the gym, so I'm confident I can get the job done."

Geale, a Commonwealth Games gold medallist at Manchester in 2002, has won all 19 of his fights since turning professional in 2004, including 12 by knockout.
He claimed the vacant world IBO middleweight title when he beaten the previously undefeated Perth boxer Daniel Dawson in Sydney in December.
Geale defended his title with a unanimous points decision over English-based Serbian Geard Ajetovic in Sydney last month.
His next fight is a non-title bout with Victorian Predap Singh in Sydney in October, followed by another world title defence against an unknown challenger in December.
The flamboyant Mundine, 33, has won 32 of his 35 fights since turning professional in March 2000.
He claimed the vacant WBA super middleweight title with a win over Antwun Echols in 2003, but lost it two years later to German Mikkel Kessler in a unanimous points decision.
His next fight is against Japan's Crazy Kim in Newcastle tomorrow night.

Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
I just look at Singh's past opponent's stats. I predict Geale KO RD 3.
Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
i've seen pradeep down here live a few times when he was with murray thompson, he will go the distance. it is certainly a step up in class and good to see.
Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
Yup, it's always good to see two good Aussie boxers in the sqaure circle with one another. I too will tip Geale though...
Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
i definitely give pradeep a big chance here, it depends what huricn has been working on with him....????
Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
Please guys! Have a look at his previous opponents! All up they have had double the losses than wins as a group!Realistically he probably should be 9-0.Too young, and inexperienced for Geale.
Geale has demolished far better fighters than Singh.
Sorry but...

Re: Daniel Geale ranked 5th World Rankings.
lowie,lowie,lowie....just like me, your support is great for the local lad but there were a few of geales early fights where he fought blokes on 2,3 and 4 fight losing streaks, they all do it mate. there were a lot of things to like about pradeep singh and as i said it depends what the new team have been working on as we all have flaws.... yes even me.

Is this a 100% confirmed, Geale v Singh?
If so good matchup.
