Sinan Samm relinquishes the European title.....

Post by jameswilson »

And Vidoz and Skelton are the guys who will fight for the vacant title.

September 8th for Purse bids if no agreement is reached.

So that's Vidoz UD12 then. Skelton valiant in defeat. But plodding in battle.

So he didn't have to fight Vidoz again I think.

Yes. Either that or Oener's found him a bigger fight, but since that could only be a WBC eliminator, I find it doubtful. Running scared is surely best estimate.

I think it's a pretty decent chance for Skelts actually. Depends how he'll come in at 41/2 9 months after his last fight, but if he's still game and fresh enough he has a chance. Vidoz is not the stuff of legend. Particularly at this point in his career.

Just think of the fun Frank would have if he got hold of the EBU. I'm sure we'd have Matt in with Audley and try to get the latter into a title shot off the back of it.

Wasn't Sam handed the strap anyway after a "draw" which turned into a win following a scoring error  Like Brodie-Chi all over again.

Vidoz is certainly an more winnable fight for Matt than Chagaev was!

It's a shame Sam's relinquished as i'd personally still want to see Williams have go at avenging the complete mullering that he got back in 2003.

So its a draw, then the decision is reversed some weeks later and he wins it, then within a matter of weeks he gives it up.

What a bloody waste of time that was.

Skelton will batter fatdoz.

Virchis is pretty good but I think Gomez will beat him. Im not sold on Bidenko tho.

Gomez is the real dark horse of the division in my opinion, he'd give Sam Peter a lesson and would be a handful for most heavyweights.

Cuban's who can't punch aren't massivly marketable so he may not get the shot

He's fighting Virchis in a final eliminator. It may take a while but he will get his shot eventually (assuming he beats Virchis now.)
