I'd guess it is bugs in your computer, I had the same problems accessing different sites a few weeks ago

I was then recommended to downloaded skybot which sorted it out

Also i've started using safari rather than internet explorer which works better

Sometimes I can't access the forum. At funny times, late on Sat, sometimes on Sun. I figure it's maintenance work on the site.

Just to make sure, are you accessing the site from England? Some countries are blocked so I'm just making sure that's not the reason.

Yes, am trying to access from UK. But am regularly on the site and just experiencing this problem today.

I can get to it by typing "boxrec" into google and then clicking on "forums" but none of the other links (eg name, date etc) work.

Am looking at a few things on the system...J

I've no idea what the problem is then. If it's urgent, use the contact details here, otherwise just wait it out.

Try running an anti virus programme, can't do any harm

I've run spybot and will run an AVG scan in the morning.

Seems to be happening on a few web sites on my favs list but not all.....either an ISP problem or more likely some bug has crept into my system.

Thanks for the replies...will see what tomorrow brings!

Fixed it!

Used the tried and tested method of unplugging the BT Home Hub and restarting the PC. I had noticed a "funny" on the hub earlier but didn't think it had affected me. All looks OK now.

Guys...I appreciate you taking the time to assist me. Many thanks, J

Im pretty sure i know what it is.

Like others say, from time to time the site is actually down.

But your computer will cache the page (save it, to quickly load it next time you come back) and sometimes it remember the time it was not working and reload that page.

Just regulary clear your cookies / temp internet files and you should be ok.

Don't clear your cookies if you want to be remembered on this forum. Try refreshing the page to re-cache it.

If you use Firefox 3 then deleting cookies is ok as it will remember your password. . .

If your an Explorer user then like Asterix says ALT + F5 to clear your cache.

I had the same problem for a while. I deleted it from my favourites, then added it bck and it's been alright since.
