Oh please God, not again...
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Again you have included dunne who is not british. If you want to include Irish fighters then should andy lee not get a place? as a lot of people would feel he would be above dunneaybe mcloskey and macklin deserve a place there especially macklin

Please don't get me goin again.
If Macklin should be in, what about the British LM Champion ?
Forget about Dunne - fuckin Scott Harrison is still in at 16 and he ain't got a fuckin licence.

Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Is Macklin classed as an Irish fighter and not a British fighter then?
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
British he is from birmingham, with strong Irish connections played hurling for county tippLenny wrote:Is Macklin classed as an Irish fighter and not a British fighter then?

He was born and bread in England with Irish parents. He considers himself Irish.Lenny wrote:Is Macklin classed as an Irish fighter and not a British fighter then?

Nothing much exept he is a very talented fighter you could also say what has duddy done of note?liamlion wrote:Just out of interest, what has Macklin done of note?metropol wrote:Again you have included dunne who is not british. Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
For a start, Duddy remains unbeaten against slightly better opposition than Macklin has fought.
Duddy is also a lot more active and, despite his limitations, appears to be making some headway in the sport.

Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Michael Jennings Should be higher(top 20)
John Duddy should not be there
Wayne Elcock should be much lower
Ryan Rhodes should just scrape in

I am sorry if you don't like it, Khaosai, but you can expect it again next month as well!Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:Oh please God, not again...
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Irish fighters are allowed on the list. Andy Lee has not done enough to earn a place in the top 30, especially not enough to be placed ahead of Dunne.metropol wrote:Again you have included dunne who is not british. After beating Wright, McCloskey is getting close to a place on the list. Macklin needs to stay active and beat more decent fighters before I can put him in the top 30, because at the moment he is not even close to a place.metropol wrote:aybe mcloskey and macklin deserve a place there especially macklin
I would say these were the most note worthy fights he has had: Losing in a very good fight with Jamie Moore, losing to Andrew Facey and beating Luis Ramon Campas.liamlion wrote:Just out of interest, what has Macklin done of note?
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Why Scott Harrison still in them he has not boxed for more then 12 months
Thought John Murray may have scrapped in .

Scott Harrison will be removed next month, for the start of the new boxing season, unless there is a big change in his circumstances.twenty six wrote:Please don't get me goin again.

I am not sure who will replace him, but I have a month to figure that out.
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Horse I know a lot of people will call this nit picking but could you call this list british and Irish p4p top30? A la british and Irish lions
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
I think John duddy does deserve a place afterall he is 25-0 and improving. He has also beaten eastman who is long past his best but still a though test.SOUTHPAW wrote:Michael Jennings Should be higher(top 20)

Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
I know you don't like moving people down when they have won.... but Danny Williams moving up after that lazy, inept display when he showed he is just for the taking... sorry can't agree there. Even aside from a decision in which most seem to think he was lucky to get (I wasn't) - he was awful... shot.
Just wandering.... if Rogan smashes Audley - would he be considered.
Have you considered Sprott - cause lets not forget... He beat Williams in their last meeting... he smashed Audley (who technically should be ranked above Williams - given that he beat him last time they fought) and he actually held Skelton to a MD last time.

Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
Jennings has not done much lately, which has led to him having a relatively low ranking.SOUTHPAW wrote:Michael Jennings Should be higher(top 20)
Duddy beat Eastman when Eastman was still in the top 30, so I think he has done enough to earn a place on the list.SOUTHPAW wrote:John Duddy should not be there
Yes, Elcock is perhaps a little too high.SOUTHPAW wrote:Wayne Elcock should be much lower
I can see why you would want Rhodes in your top 30, but in my opinion he has only had one big win in the last 5 years (Woolcombe), and in my opinion a win over Woolcombe is not enough to put him in above those currently at the bottom of my list.SOUTHPAW wrote:Ryan Rhodes should just scrape in
Re: British Top 30 P4P August 2008
It's a disgrace that you're even thinking about dropping Harrison, it's only been close to 3 years since his last fight.
After 4 he should be moved into the bottom half for inactivity and after 5 he could be considered for removal if someone else is strongly pushing the top 30.

I have decided to take Scott Harrison out next month as that is the start of the next boxing season.tyson wrote:Why Scott Harrison still in them he has not boxed for more then 12 months
I considered entering John Murray into my list, but he has only just won the British title and although his win over Lee Meager was very impressive, I would prefer to see him beat more than one quality opponent before I enter him into the list.tyson wrote:Thought John Murray may have scrapped in .

I would rather leave the name as it is; I hope this does not cause any offence.metropol wrote:Horse I know a lot of people will call this nit picking but could you call this list british and Irish p4p top30? A la british and Irish lions
