Naz has the same chance as Tyson has.
A big name to get the fights and the big punch if he is lucky enough to land it.
Naz will never be the same fighter he was. He was exposed....

I often wondered to myself will he wait until Barrera was on the slide or beaten, it may have been the case.

If he comes back I will be very happy to see it, I do think he has something to offer..................but, this is crunch time for him, he cannot fight the once like he did against Calvo and then stay away. He has to keep busy and if hes training well and active, Im sure he can give a lot of fighters nightmares. I for one Im pleased to hear it, now I want it to be true.

Come on Naz!!!

Prove yourself as a "Champion" this is crunch time. This is history, how you want be remembered............now is your chance to show whats left, what you can do. Will you have been a good Champion or will you be a Great Champion???

You said a few months ago that a story concerning (not a pleasant one) was going to be made public and Naz could find himself in a fair amount of trouble. A fair few of the old guard posters new exactly what you were on about, but a few (like myself) where completely flumuxed.

I'm not particularly interested in finding out what this story is (if it is made public then I will probably read it) however, with this story of a comeback - I am wandering has the "problems" that you mentioned boiled over, or could Hamed still face trouble.

Good question, Stu. I haven't heard any more, so assume it's all blown over, thankfully. It was all speculation anyway. Chinese whispers.

wow, talk about out of the blue...

This is good news. It sets up a solid triangle in the domestic scene... the hard part is whether to go for domestic superfights, or let each fighter fight foreigners for titles.

Of course, this is based on if Harrison and Brodie keep on winning, which is by no means a certainty.

super middle, last I heard he was in at at around 11.5 stone.

It is a lot of weight to shift, but come on, if he's training already, and planning to fight by late summer, let's say the end of august for the sake of argument that's plenty of time.

If he weighs 168 lbs now, he needs to lose 42 lbs. That gives him 4 months to shift the weight, which is 10 lbs a month, easily doable for a professional athelete, in fact doable for us mere mortals too.

The question is whether or not at 30 his body will be happy at 126 lbs, which is more doubtful, Hamed was always pretty thickset, if short at the weight, and he may have filled out anyway by this point.

I find it almost impossible to believe Hamed is skint, how could he be, it's not like he has some excessive lifestyle, he has been virtually invisible since his retirement, hardly whooping it up like Tyson in strip clubs.

was ajoke mate sorry, shoule had a smilie, I agree if he is trainign you can shift that weight but I wouldnt think the way the body develops with age he would be able to make his old weight.
Still good luck to him never been a great fan of him as person but he was a talented boxer and I wish him all the best, even if I do have to eat humble pie when he comes back! :

If he is coming back, I simply can't believe his first fight would be against a victorious Brodie for two reasons. Firstly, even Naz at his peak would have the sense to take a warm up fight. Secondly, it would be a great achievement for him to get back to 9st.

From what I understand, he is a very wealthy man.

Last I heard was he earned a total of 45 million in his career, although to be honest these figures are usually plucked from a hat, and don't ever include training costs etc.
