Naz on Nuts TV

Post by chinny »

Fair play watching him again he was the absolute business. Just the entrance to the Cruz fight which was on last night had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. How can he have been so cocksure?
One thing I noticed was how much more relaxed Frank looked ringside. He was absolutely pissing himself (as was the rest of the crowd) when Naz somersaulted back up after the two of them stumbled to the canvas.

Great stuff.

One thing I noticed was how much more relaxed Frank looked ringside than when Khan fights. He was absolutely pissing himself (as was the rest of the crowd) when Naz somersaulted back up after the two of them stumbled to the canvas.

Good point about Warrren. He looks like he's being fellated by a cannibal when Amir fights.

That is a horrible image and there should be at least a allegedly in that. I think when ever Naz was doing tricks his value was going up, did he make the Hall of Fame he is certainly one of the most talented British fighters of all time.

I thought he was on the list for the end of last year for induction for the first time. Not sure how it works as to whether he didn't make it, or whether the results are announced later this year.

Ant Evans might know as I think Hauser has a vote.

I'm gunna have to try & catch NUTS TV more, they seem to have some good old footage, i've noticed in the past few weeks that Collins - Eubank, Benn - Barkley & Eubank - Thompson have all been on.

Yeah they have Naz all this week at I think 10pm

Actually it is great to be reminded of how good Reg Gutteridge's commentary was too. He was so matter of fact and 9 times out of 10 right on the money.

Last night: "for the WBC International Title, which is a joke belt, but Nassem will pick it up anyway"

He really didn't have any agenda or seem to serve any master

I liked Reg , but he did use to come out with the same saying alot, 'there not mucking about here', ' you could stage this fight in a phone box', ' this is going to be a war of attrition'.

On ESPN Classics they have Reg and Carpenter hosting classic fights. Like watching Boxing with your two Grandad's. Brilliant.

Sheer brilliance from Deadpan. I will now steal this and pass it off as my own. Just thought I'd let you know :TU:

Do you think it could have been a political vote that one? as boxers who have achieved far less have got in.

Yes Naz achieved way more than Barry but Barry was nowhere near first ballot was he?

Not sure exactly why thats relevant but it does seem to matter.

Is he even officially retired!!?

I forgot how embarressing Naz's ring entrances were, they showed the Lawal and Hardy fights last night, an hour show and 2 minutes of boxing, rest of it took up with Naz prancing into the ring.

FW has never before or since moved a fighter forward like he did with Naz which I think says it all about Hamed's ability. He KNEW Naz was the goods.

Also probably speaks volumes about the likes of Hatton/Calzaghe/Khan and the limitations I think they felt they had deep down be it Wazza himself or the fighter.

Yeah remember the cameras hadn't even panned in when he dropped him.....

"Oh my woooooord"

One I always loved was the Liendo fight, he was awesome around that time and continued to be until he got too comfortable outside the ring. Still, for me he's tied with Lennox as the best British boxer ever.

Due you think his best weight would have been Super Bantam?
I mean he was amazing at feather, but i just think he may have been untouchable at the lower weight.

The Kelley fight was on last night. Definite signs of deterioration but what a fight.

Who was the black guy behind Naz in the interviews? Looked a bit like Carl King but with short hair. Very familiar face but can't remember who he is
