Where Are the now: Ross Hale

Anyone know what the rooster is up to these days?

I remember him being quite close to a title shot on a couple of occasions, and then boom he walked into Paul Ryan and was never the same again.

If I remember correctly he was a dustman and had a young family to support - I was kinda gutted when he got starched by Ryan - Hale was one of my favourite fighters back in the day.

Yeah good fighter was Ross. Could really bang with the left hand. Hope he is doing ok for himself.

Read in BN a couple of years ago he was working with the Bristol Boys camp. He was virtually unrecognisable, with long hair and shorn of the goatee.

Great fighter and lovely bloke from what I've heard. Really into the surfing scene in a big way and think he may have been a scaffolder or something similar. I'm 99% sure he's involved in training now in Bristol - it was him and Catley that really put Bristol back on the boxing map and shame no-one's come forward to pick up that particular mantle.

Hale was involved in a fair few thrillers in his time at Lightwelter. The war with Driscoll was fought at one hell of a pace.

Him and Catley were at Scott Dann's win over Wayne Elcock a couple of year back and Hale did indeed have a big mop of hair.
