First off, I am looking to find the top 30 Heavyweights of all time...
I would like to hera ALL of your opinions... However, I do not want to restrict your list just to 30.... Please name me your top 30, and a few others who you think ar ejust outside it...
NOW.
I imagine that they are "LEGENDS" who will make EVERYONE's top 30... Then There will be the "DEFNITIES" who will 90% always be mentioned somewhere higher or lower in the 30.... Then we have the "MAYBES" who will be in some peoples, but not in others....
Top 30 Heavyweights?
Re: Top 30 Heavyweights?
So here's mine: (Please DON'T argue with my positioning of the fighters)... I'd rather find out your views about who's not included... Who is shockingly included... And if any fighters are significantly down/up in my estimate than what they are in yours... (For example, If I have The Rock at *1 and you think he should be down at 27)....
1. Rocky Marciano
2. Muhammad Ali
3. Joe Louis
4. George Foreman
5. Joe Frazier
6. Jack Dempsey
7. Jack Johnson
8. Mike Tyson
9. larry Holmes
10. Sonny Liston
Others who could be in my top 10:
Lennox Lewis, JJ Walcott, Eazzard Charles, Max Schmeling, Ken Norton, Gene Tunney, Evander Holyfield, Max Baer, James J. Jeffries, Roy Jones JR.
Give me a while to think of the other 20...

Re: Top 30 Heavyweights?
IMHO, you need to remove Tyson and Liston and put Lennox and Evander in...Marciano belongs in there for his accomplishments and not as much as how he would do against other heavyweight greats...With the exception of Berbick, Tyson has lost every "super fight" he was involved in and it's hard to consider Berbick a "super fighter"...Crease wrote:So here's mine: (Please DON'T argue with my positioning of the fighters)... basically, for the most part, this is quite a good list.i would put Norton at #13 though.Holyfield i'd have at #15,Tunney at #16,Baer at #19,and Schmelling at #20.
also,i think either of the Klischko brothers would beat Bugner,Johansson,Carnera,Leon Spinks or Henry Cooper for certain.
