Hagler was also very over the hill when he fought Leonard, and lost a very contentious decision.

If you feel that the SRR who had had one poor effort in 5 years prior to fighting Marvin was a "prime Ray Leonard", there is not much I can say except that I disagree.
I do agree that a prime Ray Leonard would give any welterweight or middleweight trouble.
As I mentioned previously, it made no sense for Hagler to come out in the orthodox stance. Leonard, yes the same Leonard whom we are talking about, the Leonard who fought Hagler, said his confidence was boosted when Hagler came out in the orthodox stance.
I did say I thought Leonard fought a brilliant fight. If you think Hagler fought the right fight and did as well as he could, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. But, I still am of the opinion that Hagler blew it and for me this was a disappointment.
