Every year, World Boxing Hall of Famer Julian Jackson, makes an appearance at our annual induction banquet. Wearing black rimmed glasses and a smile, this Jamaican boxing great has a peaceful nature and engaging personality, making it hard for some to imagine the tremendous power this man brought into the ring. One of the best of his era, no question.

None. "Caesar" our West Highland Whitehaired Terrier (westie), died last year. He was 18 years old. Our son brings over his westie from time-to-time and we enjoy him. Its kind of like having a grandchild. "Ronnie" comes over, we play with him and enjoy him, then he goes home when we get tired of him. [/quote]

I had a westie in the 80's Ray. What a great little pup he was, and a true terrier, lots a heart.

received this pic from my brother Mando yesterday via email, it shows my sister
Rachel, who is giving Mando and his wife Pat a tour of her vineyards that she
has in Napa, Ca.

I also got the news from Mando that Rachel has about two months to live as
she is dying from pancreatic cancer and her chemo is not working, we knew
she was sick, but its still hard to accept.

So sorry, Frank.

Eddie Marcus

Eddie Marcus went to High School with one of my old friends, Karl Nelson, who passed a few years back. After retiring, Marcus worked as a bartender in a couple Wilshire area taverns in L.A. One was owned by George Parnassus, the other by my former mgr. Suey Welch.

Chavez really spoiled his legacy.

Nope, Frankie. As soon as I saw the one round thing I knew it was wrong. I would have heard of Duke, otherwise. They may have sparred, who knows? The world was BIG back then and facts were harder to check.
