Thats pretty much how I viewed the whole episode to be honest - gutted for the lad that he didnt get his chance to shine but I have been really pleased with the way that the rest of the team have reacted thus far.Ulysses wrote:Well, he was buggered when he won the Worlds in Chicago. It's said that he struggled terribly at the weight in Chicago, yet he produced the performances of his career to win the tournament.
They had to give him every opportunity to make the weight right up til the final hour. You have to assume they thought the heat and humidity of China would shift the final few pounds.
Depending on which way you look at it, it's a major cock-up or just terribly sad.
Lets hope it continues into the medal rounds!
