IF you were to have a camera placed behind every judge, you would have the same view as every judge. One camera from one point of view is, as you say, not a good assessment. 8)

There are some punches that land that you know would be seen by all the judges (and hopefully at least 3 will hit the button within a second of each other). Some punches you know would only be seen by the judge(s) with the same viewpoint as the camera, which of course would not be enough to count as a scoring blow. So if you watch a video properly, you can figure out what the accepted score should have been.

Dennis, this would mean that you would have to look at every judge and see the positioning of the referee and the boxers to see what judges would have a clear look. Then you also have to really look and see if they are fouling or not. And while you're checking the judges obstructions, or lack of, and making sure the boxers aren't fouling, you'd have to count punches. I'll stick to my guns and say there is no way you can judge an entire bout on a video tape showing one point of view and come up with the accepted score of 5 judges.
