Joe Frazier couldn't fight any better than he did against Ali in their classic 1971 encounter. Duran couldn't fight any better than against Leonard in 1980. Vito Antuofermo than against Hagler in 1979. And Michael Brodie than against Injin Chi in 2003.
They all lost the rematch.

Chi was the better fighter on the night, i thought Chi would go out on all attack and thought brodie wouldnt get past the 4th

chi was excellent

brodie started slowly out of the blocks and never really got going

i felt brodie should have been pulled out at the end of rd 6 things were just looking so gloomy at that point

brodie has to think about his future and weigh up whether its worth carrying on. maybe an idea is to get the wbo no 1 position and fight harrison that way harrison's camp can't worm there way out of it.

Brodie needs to focus on the WBO shot now, Harrison is the weakest champion in my opinion. If Brodie can make Super Bantam (which I doubt) then that is another option. He just is not comfortable taking the shots of the bigger men.

Chi's size was a major factor IMO real deal, the guy is massive, for me it was quite similar to Harrison vs McCullough how Chi does 9 stone god know. Jack Trickett stated that before the first fight that he was worried about Chi's strength.

I said Brodie needed to jump on Chi early, the opening two rounds were very similar to the first contest, this time though Chi didn't stop - or Brodie continued to fight the wrong fight. I did say that everytime Brodie backed up Chi last time he was the better fighter, why didn't he do that from the off this time - it was the same with Clinton Woods. Couldn't either see that they in their first encounter they were 2nd best when they tried boxing on the back foot.

Anyway, I don't want to go on a rant, Brodie showed yet again tremendous courage and I couldn't ask for much more - he went above and beyond the call of duty. Chi is a threat for anyone, Morales wasn't going through a bad patch when they fought, Chi will cause anyone fits.

Just think Michael should have jumped on Chi from the off.

Chi will reign for a long time, very fast hands, cast iron chin, hits hard and mighty strong with a tremendous engine.

I didn't even give Brodie a share of a round I'm afraid and there was a couple of 10-8 ers aswell.

I gave him the third, but nothing else. Having said that i wouldn't argue to strongly about it.
As for Chi's size, i'm with Ian Darke, how he used to fight at Bantam is beyond me.

I thought Brodie had a real chance in this rematch, unless he had gotten old over night.

I'm not sure he has gotten old, or whether Chi is really that good. It's difficult to know for sure.

Brodie looked a little shop worn for my liking, and getitng put down like that in the first was the beginning of the end. The fire Brodie had in the first fight, over the first 6-7 rounds at least was missing in this one.

He looked totally out of it when he went back to his corner in the 6th round, and I am surprised he came out for that final round, it wasn't anything major that put him down.

I think we have probably seen the best of Brodie, but I hope I am wrong.

I wasn't expecting this one to be as lively as the first, I always had a strong feeling that if it was lively Brodie would be stopped between 7-9, but I was expecting a more placid affair.

If Brodie decides to continue (which I hope he doesn't) he should focus on the WBO 'world' level. Obviously a fight with Scott Harrison would be massively appealing. Though, to be honest I see it being anything but a cakewalk for Brodie. Harrison can be a swarmer - like Chi, who punches in bunches - like Chi, and is extremely strong for the weight with a big broad frame - like Chi. His attack isn't as intense or unrelenting as Chi's (unless he's pure fired up) but it's enough to take Brodie a tour of hell. Brodie has better boxing skills, but Chi showed a blue-print that Harrison has all the qualities to follow from.

If Harrison stands back and lets himself be bamboozled, as he often does, then he likely gets beat. On the other hand, if he comes out and jumps all over Brodie, like Medina 2, then I think he can win.

Saying that, I'm not all that convinced Harrison can get past Abelyan, even though I'll be bursting my voicebox cheering him on.

I felt bad for Brodie last night, he's a quality fighter but Chi was just too big and strong for him. Chi is one tough nut! and wouldn't allow Brodie to exicute his game plan.

Obviously there will be talk of Brodie fighting Scott Harrison now, but how much has Brodie got left? He's been in a lot of long tough fights now, the well may soon go dry.

Add to that fact that Scott Harrison is another big, strong, tough fighter which may just be too much for Brodie at this point in his career.

Brodie has achieved a great deal in his career and has been a credit to the game, but I fear that we have seen the best of him. I hope he has invested his money wisely.

Good fight, Chi is an absolute monster, i was a bit disappointed we didn't see anything of Jose Sulaiman though i was looking forward to his rematch with Steve Lillis

Felt a lot for Brodie though when he broke down, that was sad but you could tell by his eyes that it was coming :(
