Ok I really don't want to start a Boxing News Vs allegedly type thing.
However I did think that other weeks Eamonn Magee "The Neighbour From Hell" headline seemed a bit strong and tabloid for Boxing News.
I admit I I've never met Magee and live nowhere near him and give all credit that Claude has given space to Magee in this weeks edition and allowed him to put his version of events forward. But I still feel the above headline mentioned wether it's true or false may have been slightly ill-judged.
Just a thought.
Boxing News Vs Eamonn Magee, I hope not!

I felt it was near the knuckle, too. But, even before this incident, several posters on here stated that Magee is no angel in his neighbourhood, so we have to assume Claude Abrams is bang on.KOJOE90 wrote:Ok I really don't want to start a Boxing News Vs allegedly type thing.

One thing's for sure, Magee needs to get out of his street now and start afresh.

I've never met Magee, so I can only go on what I've read and seen of him of TV. He does at times come across as a bit agressive and intimidating, but hey he's a Boxer being interviewed just after a fight so he could just be a bit hyped up.
I'm about the same age and size as Magee and I've been told when I'm stressed I can come across as a bit intimidating, and I'm a peace lovin guy! 8)
I thought the headline was a disgrace to be honest. At the end of the day Magee is the one with his knee being held together with metal, so perhaps he's no angel, I'd bet the guys who done this to him were even less angelic!. I'm very dissapointed that Boxing News seems to be going the tabloid route as regards headlines and stories..... if I want to read the Sun I'll read the Sun, but Boxing News is supposed to be a Boxing paper.... and to be supporting boxers.... this story was sensationalist, and seemed largely unfounded.... and grossly unfair to the guy laying on his back in hospital......
