A friend of mine and I were debating this the other day. He seems to think Jimmy lost this fight because he stuck his head between the ropes and that this was all due to a massive amount of punishment. I couldn't stop from laughing. He had even pasted in a link to an anonymous writer in an attempt to his claim more believable. I won't say his name but it ends with a number (2008)
who honestly scored this fight for Ali? The name of the game is scoring points and Jimmy clearly outpointed a lost and confused Ali who couldnt get anything going. Muhammud never landed more than a glancing blow so it cannot be said he ever hurt Jimmy. Cosell was very nervous up till the final bell rang which gives it away the fact he was upset and believed Ali had lost.

I'm not Collins but you aren't worth getting banned over...There are people here whose opinions on boxing I respect and coming from a family of boxers (although it was a long time ago) I like to hear what they have to say...Oh, your buddy , granberry, received a one month suspension...
A careful review of the thread will show that it was your sarcasm and self congratulation that caused it to get off track...If someone treats me with respect I will treat him back with respect...If someone disrespects me they do not get to calibrate how much disrespect I show in return...
I am TheOneIsHere2008 over at the ESPN board...I spend most of my time at the NBA board and the Boxing Board...We can continue our discussion (sic) there. You can just register there as Elton John.
