Chi whizz!

Post by The REAL McCoy »

Lets get straight to the point here folks, in McCoys big humble opinion Scott Harrison would BEAT Injin Chi, you wanna know why? then let the great McCoy explain...

The Injin Chi hype has been UNBELIEVABLE ever since Manchesters Michael Brodie was counted out in spectacular fashion against the South Korean

Chi put on a masterclass against the mancunian, having things his own way whilst controlling the tempo of the fight from the first bell

Jim Watt called Chi "A beast", others called Chi "a monster" & soon they will be calling him "The Korean King Kong"(you gotta love that boxing hype, eh?)

But the truth of the matter is young cats, Chi did what he was expected to do the first time, no more, no less

Many boxing experts & fans seem to have short memories, forgetting how bad Chi looked when backed up in the first fight- Although Chi should have got the decision that night, he didnt look like the better fighter when Brodie took the fight to him

Anyway, now onto Scott Harrison(who has shaved off his goatee beard BTW) :o

Just remember how devastating Scott has looked in the past against World Class fighters who are willing to stand & trade with him, like McCullough & Chacon(two fights that many thought Harrison would lose- both guys tried to slug it out with Scott, but quickly changed their game plan when they realised just how strong Harrison was

Scott's only problems have been against guys who are strictly boxers, & you can all be rest assured that Injin aint gonna dance & throw a pitty-pat jab

El McCoy verdadero thinks that Scott Harrison could have more of a problem with a slick southpaw like William Abelyan than he would ever have with Injin Chi

You know something? Should Harrison & Chi ever meet(no formality) McCoy will once again put his neck on the line & leave ALL forums for good should Chi ever beat Harrison, thats how confident this handsome bastard of a man is!

McCoy aint saying that Harrison is the best featherweight in the world, but-

Harrison would beat Injin Chi
& walk home with a belt from the WBC
Chi would have more lumps than McCoys cup of tea
Thats how it will be
You will disagree
But you will see, you will see...

The last opponent Harrison fought was really aggressive and give Scott alot of problems. Luckily for Scott he punched himself out, the same thing wont happen with Chi. The Korean will DOMINATE Harrison throughout the fight, winning a comfortable decision! 8)

Adamiw, rumour is that you still have some of McCoys humble pie in the fridge

The only reason Harrison took a few clean shots from Estrada was simply because Harrison underestimated him, trying to bomb him out in the early rounds, which he proceeded to do

Scott was interviewed in the Scottish Daily Record newspaper two days before the fight, saying how he was going to go straight for Estrada, & throw over 200 punches a round

Its obvious Scott underestimated him, but he wouldnt underestimate Chi

IMO Chi's style is a nightmare for Scott Harrison. He's like a bigger version of Medina and Estrada put together. :o

He throws looping awkward shots from all angles and his chin is great.

Scott Harrison is made for Chi. There's no way that this fight will ever happen.

Sorry McCoy but your're talking pants this time mate.

I hope to god this fight gets made though. We know that Chi would be happy to fight Scott in Scotland.

It would be a damn good war for the first five rounds but after that Chi's relentless pace would take over. He would either KTFO Scott late on, stop him on cuts or break his heart and UD him.

Hey Tuffy, are you just angry because Scott shaved off his goatee beard? Dont worry, he might grow it back!

The only time McCoy is talking pants is when McCoy is imitating Tom Jones on stage, & some hot womans panties get thrown & land in McCoys singing mouth!

I disagree with McCoy here, I just think Chi is too fast and hits to hard for Harrison. Harrison is strong, but I think the last fight showed that he doesn't like it when he's up against a fellow big man. Chi is significantly better than Estrada.

I also don't feel they are over-rating Chi, merely he's been underated for years. He did a tremendous job against Morales, people said Morales had no focused and mentally not up for the job - I think hindsight has shown that this is not the case.

Michael Brodie, has shown himself to be among the very best Super Bantam weights in the world and Chi beat him clearly twice, which shows to me he is not just a one fight wonder. He's impressive - to be honest I did notice the commentators hyping the size differencial of the two, but this was apparent in the first contest and it should have been picked up then.

Listen up & listen good you bum, McCoy doesnt post nonsense, he just tells it as it is

A combination of the hatred towards Scott Harrison on the forums & the love towards Chi make people see what they want to see, just the way that a lot of people favoured McCullough over Harrison

A fight with Chi isnt the struggle the hordes make out it is

Just because you are extremely desperate to see Chi beat Harrison, does not mean that Chi WILL beat harrison, the way he does in your mind

Stu, although Chi is a good fighter, he doesnt have a big punch, or blazing hand speed, but he is tough, has a good chin & great stamina & would be a hard fight for Scott

BUT

Scott would outpoint him

Scott has an underrated jab, & can box when he has to

Look how carefully Scott boxed when he faced the big punching Chacon, using his jab & hardly ever dropping his guard

He also boxed the same way against McCullough, taking the fight to both guys, but boxing a controlled, careful fight, & picking his punches perfectly

The Harrison we seen againt Medina(in the rematch) & Estrada was much more wild & looking to bomb out his opponent, with the scottish Daily record saying that if Scott didnt KO Estrada in the first 3 rounds it would be a bad performance

Scott aint a huge puncher, so it was crazy for Scott to go out assuming he could destroy a guy who had never been stopped before but he must have felt a huge amount of pressure in the scottish press

Chi is far from overrated in anywhere in the world apart from Britain where many assume he is such a monster he shouldnt get past customs

People forget how vulnerable Brodie has been looking in the past few years against the likes of the limited Pastor Maurin, & others

Harrison would get murdered by Chi.

Does anyone think Harrison could go 12 rounds with a prime Morales?

If Paulie Ayala & Wayne McCullough(who both started their career at Bantamweight) can last the distance against Morales, Harrison could as well

Also the only way Chi would murder Harrison is if he entered the ring with a knife

Yes, Scott fought much better against Chacon and Wayne than he did in his other world title fights, however in Chacon he was fighting a limited fighter (the Polo fight before showed this) and against McCullough the size differiantial was critical.

Now, I am not saying what your saying about Brodie isn't correct, for me he's always looked vulnerable at Feather, thats why I have never ranked him above Harrison. Perhaps Brodie's vulnerability made Chi look better than what he is, but he also came very close to putting Morales on the canvas and hurt him on several occasions. To do this you must be pretty good.

As for his hand speed, well I was shocked that everytime (in both fights) Brodie tried to outbox Chi he got beaten to the punch - also Morales (who admittedly has got a shocking defence for an all time great) got tagged on several occasions. Harrison's hand speed is probably his worst factor IMO, I think Chi will beat him to the punch.

It was silly of the papers to say what they did as a preview for Scott's last fight, but I didn't like how he looked vulnerable, particularly to the body. Now Estrada was a good fighter, who I'm sure would cause all the brit boys headaches, but I say Chi is similar to Estrada, but better in every department and on a par with him in terms of power.

I think Harrison is taylor made for Chi.

Chi has bigger fish to fry; 8)
In todays MX press it was reported that Marco Antonio Barrera traveled to Los Angeles Monday,
where he will confer with promoter Oscar de la Hoya to initiate negotiations to challenge In Jin Chi for the WBC Title in July

IF Marco wins and since he likes the WBO, we could possibly see unification with Harrison down the road,
If Fast Frankie doesn't get in the way. :(
