Carlos Ortiz

Post by Poncey »

I'm getting the following, but wondered if there's any you think are worth getting that I've missed:

Ortiz v Buchanan
Ramos v Ortiz
Laguna v Ortiz I and II

Thanks

What about Ortiz's two fights with the great "Flash" Eldore?

I would purchase those, but I'm not sure if the films exist.

About 15 years ago one of the Spanish TV networks aired
Carlos Ortiz-Joe Brown (for Brown’s World Lightweight Title)
Carlos Ortiz-Johnny Bizzaro
Carlos Ortiz-Flash Elorde
Carlos Ortiz-Ismael Laguna III

Apparently those films exist and are definitely worth getting.

Anyone else think Ortiz looked like John C. Reilly when he fought Buchanan?

If available, the Duilio Loi fights. The Torres fight in LA in 1960 (I bet Frank can tell us something about that fight.). If available, the Loche fight in 66.

The Ortiz v Flash Elorde 2nd and Battling Torres exists in full versions. I have only seen a very brief clip of Ortiz v Locche.

The first Sugar Ramos fights is fun to watch. Police all over the place, and locals trying to make Ramos the winner after the referee stopped the fight. The doctor dared not stop it!

I would love to see the three fights against Loi, but I don´t think they exist.
