Fights You Wished Never Happened

Post by TheOneIsHere2008 »

Louis-Marciano

Ali-Holmes

Ali-Berbick

Ibragimov-Holyfield

Camacho-Leonard

I am afraid Oscar DeLaHoya will make this list one day...It would be nice if they left when they were a "is" instead of leaving when they were a "was"...I don't like to appropriate the work of others...That was how Mark Kram defined Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier after The Thrilla In Manila...

Rocky 5

Rocky , Rocky 2 and Rocky Balboa (6) were quite good, imho... Three and four were mediocre and five just sucked...

Ray Mancini v. Duek Koo Kim.

Not only did Kim die tragically (that's reason enough to wish the fight never happened), this fight was the catalyst for shortening title fights from 15 to 12 rounds. The WBC immediately ordered all title fights shortened to 12 rounds, and the other A B C groups followed suit.

The irony there being the WBC was as much at fault for throwing an overmatched/undeserving challenger into any kind of title fight in the first place.

The ABC boys actually altered the whole game just so they could continue in their disgracefully corrupt ways.

Rocky 2, 4, and 5 were awful.

In Rocky 2, he can't have a rematch because of his bad eye, a point that then seems to be conveniently forgotten about.

You lost me. Mancini was WBA champion. How was the WBC at fault?

6 months before Kim fought Mancini, he was fighting 6 rounders, was the WBA paid off? by Bob Arum to rank Kim so he could fight Mancini? I think so.... :x

Why Cotto vs Margarito? I believe that both of them were in their primes.
