ray's mom is his mom speaking of raynell williams

Post by granny#3 »

some people should only talk what they know not what they think they know This goes out to those who said ray;s mom is not his real mother (maybe his stepmom)( or a hood mom )i will tell you who she is she loves him unconditionally she is the one who sits with him at night when he is ill',she wakes up early to make sure he has a healthy breakfast she did not send him off to school she drove him and picked him up,she made sure he was at the gym, everyday she encouraged him to pursue his dreams and did everything she could to help him pursue it, she is the one who begged, for money and made gift baskets to sell to raise the money to achieve his boxing dream.she loves him unconditionally (is'nt that what a real mother does?)she is the one that is with him in china and she is the mother ray said would not let him quit.she may not be his birth mother but she is definitely his mother.I know this because ray's mom is my daughter i have watched her sacrifice for not only ray but for montana her other son and del'vauhn her brother all three have the same dream and they all depend on her to keep encouraging them.and the word stepmom leaves a very nasty taste in one's mouth just give credit where credit is due she has earned her bragging rights and i will not sit back and let anyone steal her glory

I don't think anyone was debating whether the women posting was his "mom" but literally if she was his mom. It's impossible to know whether someone posting is who they claim they are until it's confirmed. For example, how do we know you are Raynell's granny? For all we know, you are a 16 year old boy!

There is one person who made too big a deal about it, but overall everyone is really happy for Raynell's accomplishments. He seems like a great guy and was a great representative for our country. No need to make a big deal out of a small matter.

Ray was a gracious loser too, which was very impressive. Unlike the wrestler who threw his bronze medal down. I still think Ray could have done better if the scoring system was different and if USA Boxing would have ensured that the boxers had been given more international experience than they did. They promised that they were going to give them a lot of experience, but they didn't.
