Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
Just wandering if anyone thinks that eventually Bob should be nominated for the Aussie HOF. After all he has fought all over the world and has been a multiple champion. In AFL parlance you would have to say he's an "ornament to the game"

Yes i definetely agree. Hes gone for the hard fights, paying little at the last moment, and always done boxing in this country a good showing. In a lot of fights he has been outclassed, but he has still toughed it out and gone the distance.

Re: Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
I am glad that non World Champions like Paul Ferarri, Hector Thompson and "The real man" Tony Mundine have been recognised. All of them IMO would have been title holders today. I recommend visiting the site. I look forward to the 2008 inductees.
maybe "Mad Dog Miller?"

Re: Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
Bob will need to retire for 5 years before he is nominated to the Australian Hall of Fame. No current boxers can be inducted.

Re: Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
Guys, look at the list of who's already in. Those guys are world champs. Mirovic, despite globetrotting, trying his best, etc, is STRICTLY domestic class. A Hall of Fame should feature the best of the best. Sorry, servant to the sport or not, Bob doesn't even come close.
Re: Big Bob for the Aussie HOF
Umm I am in agreement of that, It's a pretty good list by anyone's standard. But it is an Aussie HOF and now that all the walk up starters are already in maybe it's time to look at those who have exceptional local records. And say what you like about the big fella he has dominated the local heavyweight class for a long period. I am not saying he should get in but as a discussion point it is a worthy thread.oliverfennell wrote:Guys, look at the list of who's already in. Those guys are world champs. What do others think of guys like Mad Dog Miller?
which other 'fringe' guys deserve a look in your opinion?
