From BBC, ted:

James DeGale will fight for middleweight gold on Sunday after outboxing Darren Sutherland for a comprehensive 10-3 win. Bit of showboating in the final round as he looks to dance his way out of trouble - and he gets a smack in the mouth from Sutherland for his trouble - but a superb win for Chunky nonetheless.

P.S., could you put a spoiler in the title just to make sure we don't ruin someone's fun later on :TU:

Watched the Dugdale fight, stepped off and countered superbly, a little bit of the wincobank style with the hands quite low, finding the angles, side stepping and using the check hooks. HE was boxing his head off the majority of the time. It was a little bit tense at the end where the Sutherland had him shaken to his boots with a peach perfect shot and Duggy was in danger of being stopped in the last 40 seconds

Sunday 24 August

0630-1000: Finals: Light-flyweight (48kg), bantamweight (54kg), lightweight (60kg), welterweight (69kg), light-heavyweight (81kg), super-heavyweight (+91kg).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
from BBN
All three Team GB boxers left in the tournament see action on Friday with the schedule as follows (all times BST):

8.01am, James Degale (GB) v Darren Sutherland (IRE) in the middleweight (75kg) semi-final

2.01pm, Tony Jeffries (GB) v Kenny Egan (IRE) in the light-heavyweight (81kg) semi-final

2.46pm, David Price (GB) v Roberto Cammarelle (ITA) in the super-heavyweight (91kg+) semi-final

To risk stating the obvious, losers go home with a bronze medal and winners progress to the final so are therefore guaranteed at least a silver.

Be a first.

Here's the schedule:

0630-0900: Semi-finals: Flyweight (51kg), featherweight (57kg), light-welterweight (64kg), middleweight (75kg), heavyweight (91kg).

1200-1500: Semi-finals: light-flyweight (48kg), bantamweight (54kg), lightweight (60kg), welterweight (69kg), light-heavyweight (81kg), super-heavyweight (+91kg).

This contradicts Gabby Yorath, and I'd rather bang her than a web page.

Scoring must eb a bit dodgy, not landing a single shot through the whole fight?

------------------------------------------------
Irish light-flyweight Paddy Barnes will have to be content with a bronze medal in Beijing after losing against China's Zou Shiming in Friday's semi-finals.

The Chinese gold medal favourite claimed a comprehensive 15-0 win over the Belfast fighter.

Barnes chased Zou all over the ring in the first round but still found himself 2-0 down despite landing a great shot.

I only caught the fourth and I thought the Chinese fighter looked very bloody good. Maybe Barnes deserved a point or two in that round.

Price just got stopped in 2nd.

Was about 10 nil down at the time too.

The Italian guy was picking him off at will.

Still, well done for getting a bronze!

Talent to achievement that's a great result for Price and Jeffries.
