I hate that particular promoter so much. The fact this promoters first fight back on that network is going to be PPV is a joke. That kid is nothing more than a prospect, at least that 140 pounder's string of defences of that joke belt weren't on PPV.

There is a petition going around that is probably worth signing.

http://www.petitiononline.com/skyboxo/petition.html

It's a blatant rip off if you ask me.

Im sick of all this, PPV's are bad enough but paying £15 to watch a prospect, who is avoiding any talent in his own country let alone Europe and the World is just plain taking the piss. Even if he was fighting John Murray, it still would not be PPV worthy.
I'm really now considering cancelling all my Sky, Setanta the whole lot and just having freeview.
Customers are paying premium rates to watch boxing again in the first place, this straw finally brakes the camels back for me. I just cannot afford Sky Sports anyway never mind PPV's.
Their not taking me for a mug for this shit, i will not be buying.

Perhaps, Coco. It's just the principal behind the whole thing. With the subscription rates we already pay and the fact that Khan and this card is not PPV worthy, we should be able to watch it on the box nursing a pint.

If people stump up the cash for this then Warren / Sky et al will milk this cash cow for all it is worth. I ain't forking out for this crap and I would advise others to do the same.

They reported the announcement of the deal but there was no accompanying opinion.

hmm interesting, Khan will be fighting a very tall, hard punching undefeated fighter, unusual opposition for Khan, however, this guy has mostly been fighting stiffs...still I sense an upset, or near upset here.

They are starting to hype this match up.

Khan is seen with the british flag over him.
which will make it all the more amusing to see him starched. Go Breidis!

Is there more money for Khan on SKY TV

Post by Mimmy »

Is there more money for Khan on SKY TV rather than fighting on ITV.

It make me wonder if he didn't get a world title shot because of waiting for a better deal with tv rights. Im sure Khan could have had a title shot one or two fights ago, winning or losing not the issue.

Is it shrewd business sense to delay world title fights on ITV and wait for an option of another TV contract somewhere else and make the fight PPV.

I think Limond and Gomez are the reasons he's not had a title tilt yet.

If he could've won a genuine world strap on ITV his PPV numbers would then be boosted immeasurably.
