Best chin ever seen in a UK boxing ring??
Best chin ever seen in a UK boxing ring??
I'm sure this must have been posted on here before, but I love this clip and just wanted to see if anyone has ever seen a better chin than Shaw after he's been hit with an unanswered combo of about 30 punches between 1.59 and 2.10 of this clip.
Brilliant!! How he gets up I'll never know!!

Shaw was still knocked cold, Eubank soaked up much harder shots from Benn and came back to prevailWax On wrote:I'm sure this must have been posted on here before, but I love this clip and just wanted to see if anyone has ever seen a better chin than Shaw after he's been hit with an unanswered combo of about 30 punches between 1.59 and 2.10 of this clip.

Marvin Hagler, although he only fought in the UK once.
Of the Brit based fighter, Eubank and McCullogh (almost Brit based) stand out from recent years.

Eubank for sure.
Definately if we are looking at British fighters.
Best in a UK boxing ring P4P then we would really have to rack our brains - Hagler obviously but what about Juan La Porte. Over a long career he was competitive he fought Sanchez, Gomez, Pedroza, Chavez, Molina, Nelson and Tzsyu. That's one for starters. I can see this thread getting fairly long.

Oh please, Gomez, give it a rest.
When he's faced a few with the pulse still raging, took some wicked shots, come back and prevailed, then by all means shout it from the rooftops. As for now, stop taking the piss.
Eubank by a mile.

Heh.. I knew Gomez would get it for that comment.
Got to say that i'd put McCullough over Eubank.
Eubank stood up to Benn and Thompson but Wayne walked through shots from (huge by comparison) Scott Harrison, Morales and most of all Hamed who i think has to be rated higher than Benn as a puncher as Benn had to box more to continue his success whereas Hamed regressed technically but was still getting it done.
Also of course Watson did drop Eubank (more from exhaustion of course) and Wayne has never gone down.

Only tiredness got Eubank ad I think Benn was more savage a puncher than Hamed. Hamed never faced a guy with a chin like Eubank so his power looked more impressive at the lower level.
I think Eubank had the best chin of any british fighter.

Wayne McCullough and Oliver McCall

Tyson's Chin is pretty under-rated.BAMBI wrote:tyson
He has taken a lot of Bombs.
His first fight against Bruno and the Ruddock Fights he really did not use his traditional technique properly, and soaked up some clean hits.
As for the Lewis fight, how an out-of-shape hunger-less Tyson lasted that long with with bombs i will never know.
But i agree, Eubank had one of the best chins.

yeah tyson had a beard and a half in his day...but in a british ring it wasn't tested - savarese or francis barely landed........but christopher livingstone eubank proved his cement jaw time and again.... STEVIE COLLINS had nothing to be ashamed of either, he's tasted some leather in british rings.
