The Nation has seen Khan in better fights on ITV, For free so why would they pay to see him in a crap fight. I suppose they may be tempted if they see the other fighters record without knowing the facts. That could get some to buy but I dont think there will be enough to make it a success. Lets hope it fails miserably, we already pay enough for Sky Sports.

You may want to think about signing this petition if any of you feel strongly enough. I know I do.

I wouldn't even fork out if Holly Valance and Cameron Diaz were the ringcard girls  . Mr Warren has clearly made a massive misjudgement. Wrapping Khan in the union flag every 10 seconds is not going to change people's opinion on the card neither.

This PPV could be even worse than you first think. If they can sell 100,000+++ PPVs without risking a big fight, we may see the end of big fights entirely

Someone willing to tell it as it is about the Khan PPV

Post by fatton »

At last someone in the print media willing to tell it like it is. Shame some of the nationals don't do likewise. IAnJohnson can forget about his credentials now I'd imagine.

No.

I'll pay extra for a top line spectacle, a true significant test, but not for the privelige of seeing Amir Khan box any old bod in the meantime. That is pure, insulting bullshit. It's a real shame. Khan is an exciting fighter but many of us will be quietly willing the wheels to come off after this.

Arthur v Cook is nothing more than a European championship fight either.

Thumbs down.

Signed it., even though it won't make a blind bit of differerence - petitions never do. The only thing which will work is ensuring it's a financial failure, so hopefully everyone who says they won't buy it won't renege on that stance.

Not a flippin chance am i buying any PPV with Khan in it, this is an absolute disgrace for Fwanky to put this on and the sky people must think the sun shines out of khans arse for them to agree to this. Saying that i betya enough muppets pay for it to justify this madness.

The guy is fighting a chump and all of fwankys other fighters have been exposed as a pile of dross... see Lockett and Enzo seriously Fwank should be wearing a mask.

Yeah I read that earlier - I'm very surprised at the apparent lack of opinion from the editors and journo's out there - That includes the online site's too.

If it worked for Calzaghe, it will work for Khan.

maybe Khan can Fight passed it legends at the end of his career like Calzaghe, and claim to be the best?

Hey, i mean Calzaghe has a big fan base, so i dont see why it should not work for Khan.

Because

1) Clazaghe cleaned up in Britain.

2) Is a better 'fighter'

3) Better punch

4) Better chin

5) Better stamina

6) Is just better

7) Is just better :D

How many times has Calzaghe even been involved in a PPV event, much less headlined one?

This latest debacle with Khan just took piss-taking to a new level.

Despite the slaggng I and many others gave Calzaghe in the past ( most of it because he was with Fwanky)- he is the BEST British fighter in my lifetime - despite some of the crap opposition.

Yes, this is the equivalent of putting Calzaghe v Torres on PPV!

Calzaghe has only head lined one SBO card against Robin Reid but everyone bought that PPV becuase Delahoya was fighting Ike Quartey that night.

What do you think?

By the time he gets here they will call him Super Prescott and he would be able to knock out Tyson!

Sky are saying he's 6' 1". Interesting...

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 77,00.html

It sounds like Prescott will put his all into the fight. He looks a bit like Yuriorkis Gamboa. No doubt the similarities end there.
