OK , just got back. Solid action.
-Marvin Cordova Jr won a controversial 10 round Split Decision over Derrick Samuals of Florida. Cordova took the 1'st round, but Samuals turned up heat and pressed the action. Samuals punches failed to hurt Cordova (although Cordova was bleeding badly from the mouth). Samuals took rounds 2-4. Cordova came out reenergized in the 5'th and landed some bombing left hooks to the body. I thought Cordova did enough to win, but the majority of fans were unhappy with the result (94-96, 96-94, 97-93). Cordova may have gotten outworked, but he certainly landed the telling shots and threw the better combinations.
-Aaron Williams returned to the ring beating veteran Zack Page by unanimous decision. Neither fighter was hurt. Williams outworked his opponent.
-Torrence Adams scored a stoppage victory in (either) the 3'rd or 4'th round over Hassan Wasswa. Wasswa turned his back on Adams to avoid further punishment which prompted ref Toby Gibson to immediately stop the contest.
-Akinyemi Laleye of Nigeria literally laid out his opponent Isaiah Henderson with a vicious overhand left. This was a 1'st round knockout.
A preliminary fight was lame and not worthy of discussion.
