How small were those gloves?? WHEN did you box amateur, and where????

I had a fight in Levittown, LI, in 1989 with 6 oz gloves. They had no thumb as I recall... It was a PAL event, I think, Buddy McGirt was there (not fighting, he was a reigning world champ at that time I think?)
