Do you get frustrated when at the pub watching boxing?

Post by Ultimateboxa2 »

It must just be around where i live.

But when im at the club watching the boxing. I get the same old loonies screaming things out. And to me it makes no sense.

Recently some guy told me "Mike Tyson would clean up Mundine".

Another good one was "some of the bigger guys like Pavlik would beat Mayweather".

Another guy told me "Danny Green was tampered with before the Mundine fight, kind of like what happened to Ali in the movie".

I watched Danny Williams on TV in a London pub and some bloke kept saying "f**kin' Danny Williams, get Danny Williams dahn 'ere, I'll knock him aht" over and over again.

On another occasion, i overheard some other bloke telling his mate about "David KANE" (he meant Haye), while at the same time insisting "Listen mate, I know my boxing".

And then you've always got some old guy who'll bang on about how Henry Cooper would have beaten Lennox Lewis.

Oh, and then every time a fight finishes quickly, you can guarantee some drunken pleb will say he could have done better and would gladly get in there for x-million dollars.

Forgot to mention. When Margarito had Cotto hurt in the 10th towards the end of the round.

Some guy turned around to me and said.

This is "Antonio Cottos" round. No joke.

I reckon it's hilarious talking to people at the pub. I once made up an Aussie MW world champ, he held the WBT and OBA world titles, can't remember his name, but the guy next to me starting agreeing with how good he is and he'd been watching his fights for years, I think his record was 40-2 or something with 38 KO's. It was great!!

Why do you have to say that?

Im like Chris Eubank. Very fragile. And unable to withstand trash talk.

YES I do get frustrated at times.Try to keep to myself.Think it was soliman/mundine 2 and was watching at big ppub with big crowd when some grossly overweight and ignorant tosser started mouthing off racist shite about mundine.for some reason he decided i was his ally and felt the same about aborigines until after a period of time of ignoring him i got really angry and told the goose to shut his f***ing hole or i would. think it was his comment that he could beat mundine in a fight.now even though i am no mundine fan anymore this tool could not land a punch on a dead cow.dont like to lose it but this guy really got me pissed off. and considering i am a joke of a male specimen this wanker wouldnt even go me.find the racist bollox u get with pissed yobbos hard to take.
