Say it anit so TYSON

Post by REAL_DEAL »

From Fightnews.com:

The K-1 headquarters in Japan have announced today that ex-world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will appear in a K-1 bout on July 31 either in Las Vegas, New York or Los Angeles. The K-1 says it will guarantee Tyson a purse of $9.5 million for his first K-1 appearance. Tyson's opponent has not been mentioned yet, but he will be one of K-1 fighters.

Oh dear, Tyson is going to get shooed in as well. He just won't have the technique, mind you 9.5 million is a good deal.

However, this could just be a load of bollocks from K1 organisers.

James: He wont necessarily fight a kickboxer.... Shannon Briggs opponent was a wretler. Bob Sapp a football player, Akibono a damn sumo wrestler.

If he fights a real K1 fighter, ie Bonjasky, Cro Cop it could be a painful night.

However K1 dont want to cook their golden goose straight away....

Tyson v Ray Sefo could be a nice little showdown, for about 20 seconds.

lessons to be learnt

Post by robert.snell1 »

If he turns up will he remember what he is their for ? Is there any chance he might retire. We may then have a good chance of never seeing him again and he will not have any more opportunties to disgrace the boxing world with his actions .
I cannot understand how has been allowed to enter the ring in the past. He was, and still is ,a very disturbing and dangerous person.

It is little wonder that boxing attracts such bad press when MONEY and PURE GREED can allow such people into boxing. Does anyone think there maybe any good to come out this farce and lessons to be learnt.

Several spring to mind .

I would love to read what the doctors but on his medical reports.

Also the idea all the money has gone is very difficult to accept. If his accountants are of the same ilk as those involved with other US companies we can be certain he and his friends !! are far from being short of cash. I will accept he may think he is but reality may be a different story.

You know how crazy Tyson was with strict rules. Watching him in k-1 should be a blast.

20 bucks says he bites his opponent, then drop kicks the ref.
