Don't be too sure. He still has a punchers chance, don't forget the two knockdowns last time. If he comes in at 100%, he has a very good chance.

It shows real guts for Richard to take this fight.
Martinez has shown that their first match wasn't an upset, it went pretty much to form.
RW will have to get Martinez out of there or at least drop him early else he loses on points / late stoppage himself.

I read somewhere that Johnny Wish (of Matchroom) said that Richard Williams was one of those rare boxers who will face anyone.

I feel he could have got so much more recognition if he'd switched to Hennessy Sports a year or two back.

I make Williams an underdog for the return with Martinez who is a very cagey customer, but don't rule out a win for Richard. If he's trained to improve his workrate, he may be able to subdue Sergio this time, which he just couldn't do last time out.

Williams has been getting some good sparring from Erik Teymour and tomas da silva amongst others... looks like he is preparing properly...

Hope he does it, he is a real nice guy

One thinkg I have notice, even with a fully fit Williams, is that he likes to fight at his one paced and sometimes is just not quite busy enough for my liking. I believe Sergio had alot to do with Williams' performance last time he just kept eating that jab.

Paul Samuels again was throwing leather constantly in the first fight and Williams couldn't really hack it. I think this is a perminant weakness, the only one I have seen in the many fights I have watched of him.

I can see a similar fight to the last one, but Williams might just get lucky with a punch this time.

no its more on fighting style, i remember when martinez is on top his hands come down to his hips and he just plays with fighters, like the stone fight

Yeah, he's in the same camp as Martinez. You never hear his name mentioned as an opponent for Ricky hatton.

I think Williams has a chance as he can hurt Martinez but i fear that after a fast paced start Martinez's slickness may tell and he could begin to fiddle Williams around a little and we may see a repeat of the last fight. However Williams was clearly drained and seemed ill so perhaps if he is totally fit he can do the business, it all seems a far cry from the big fights we were looking forward after he beat Taylor, Samuels and Pestraev...come on Richard i hope you can do it mate.
